Waited yesterday over 45 minutes for someone to reply to the online 'chat' had to give up and get on with my day. Trying again today only to have same message "Lots of chats are being opened today..." Please either put on more staff or allow me a different option to close this account.

Dear Tide, placating responses work a lot less than actually sorting out the issue. Why do you not have a call back system like other banks? Or just enough staff? After an hour and a half spent on this today I have no more time and will need to try again tomorrow - 3 days to get a response does not sound like you are 'there to help' - far from it.
