Still awaiting refund over 6 months
On and off like many of us are advised to switch tariffs and supplies I have been a customer. Sadly my latest experience is awful. I have moved home and owed nearly £300 in refunds on my gas account.
They claim they have sent the refund twice by cheque to my new address. I have no issues with the post. I have called 9 times and had 7 calls back to try and resolve each time the same script and process stating they have to wait for the funds into the account (already there!), cancel the cheque and will escalate to send another and each time I state I followed procedure and left the account DD open so like the electricity, it could be refunded to my account direct. They state they will but this has been ongoing since I left in April with the first cheque sent in May. Holding into a customers money illegally and lying every time and not refunding me like I am rightfully owed. British Gas will no longer ever be considered by myself again as a supplier
