They will scam you

I finished up using my credits from 6 months+ ago and got charged for a new subscription. No warning, no confirmation, no nothing. I wasn't even aware I was on a subscription.

Shutterstock had actually gifted me 5 images due to a previous error of theirs, and they must have sneakily signed me up for a subscription during the process.

Now I went to find the livechat to contact them (not easy to find) and while the chat person was courteous, they gave me a templated reply about a refund only being available in certain countries but they'll escalate it and see what they can do. Etc etc. This must happen ALL the time.

My main gripe is that there was ZERO warning of me being charged, and no chance to stop the subscription before it happened. It's like the old mobile phone game tactics from the '90s.

Honestly, it all just feels like an absolute scam and Shutterstock should be ashamed of itself.

Review of Xero

3rd pricing increase in 3 years

I have just received my 3rd pricing increase notification in as many years. A 21% increase over that time. The UX of the platform is OK at times, and incredibly frustrating at others. Xero also keeps forcing changes of its design on us when there are thousands of unhappy customers who don't want it (my P&L statements are about to change which has really riled me up). I cannot see how they justify a 21% increase in pricing when the tools I'm using have not improved or advanced whatsoever.
I am trying different platforms now and will be moving away.
For context, I have a small business with 2 employees + contractors.

Great support and quality product

I've only recently moved to ChemiCloud's reseller hosting. Very happy with it so far. Local servers and knowledgeable, available support. Would recommend.

I love MainWP

I love MainWP! Everything they do is quality. I purchased a Lifetime package years ago and agree with the below review - they live up to their promises by constantly innovating. They're also very friendly and quick and efficient with their support. I'm happy to recommend them if you've got a bunch of websites which could use some remote maintenance.

Terrible after sales service

I purchased a watch and spare strap for my girlfriend for Christmas. I inadvertently bought a spare strap that didn't fit the watch. This was my fault, but in saying this their website doesn't actually prompt you to check this...it isn't clear.
I emailed Cluse who flatly refused after a number of emails to exchange the strap, even if I were to wear the postage costs. Supposedly it was a promotional item and they couldn't be bothered running around to the warehouse and doing this for a customer. They offer to refund but not exchange which I find really odd (and annoying in my situation).
Standard Dutch service - pleasant but not willing to go out of their way to help a customer, and losing one while they're at it.
