Review of Genki - Insurance for Nomads

I have Genki explorer travel insurance

I have Genki explorer travel insurance. I had a life-threatening medical emergency in Mexico and had to be hospitalised for over a week and they covered everything without issue. Extremely trustworthy insurance and personnel.

They just ghost you and refuse to give…

They just ghost you and refuse to give a refund even though you never receive the package. They've been following this business practice for a very long time so if you order from them it is 100% your fault. You've been warned.

Easy to set up

Easy to set up, but will update if/when I've made a claim. No restrictions on how long you can travel for which is the best part (cheaper contract is 2yr limit, then can renew).

Scam

It doesn't work properly. And the customer service is extremely slow to respond and refused to give me even a partial refund when I paid for a whole year upfront.

Edit:

They replied to my review, and everything they've said is lies. I expected a service like this to have basic human decency-level of customer service, but unfortunately it doesn't. They ignored my emails requesting a refund and removed me from the Discord group (the only other route to contact them).

They make themselves sound really nice in their response, but it's a complete lie. Beware of this company, they will quite literally steal your money.

No customer service

No customer service, only an automatic robot that pretends it's a real person but responds instantly (within 1-3 seconds) with a huge paragraph telling you "sorry but the system has done an analysis and the charge was justified so you will not be getting a refund".

They always do this, and then if you make a chargeback through your card, they shadowban you from placing orders. I've been banned and was still charged for the subscription service.

You get the idea, complete scammers. Welcome to Latin America.

Unreliable

Disorganised company. They sent my package to the wrong address, lost it and refused to refund me over £350.

Edit:

They eventually found my package months later and successfully returned it to me. So it turns out they didn't send it. They do a good job in the laboratory though.

Don't get the membership

Don't get the membership. Don't change your name, don't do anything.

Because they have no customer service. Literally, they have nothing. They pretend they do: they'll eventually "connect" you after trying for like 3 hours, then the "human" will instantly disconnect and send you some irrelevant BS when you need a human to sort it on their end.

This is all even if you paid for their membership.

Most likely illegal business practices but you'd need capability to sue them.

Just try to make more money so you can avoid these f**king c**ts.

Scam & confused customer service

Scam, if you try to cancel they try to give you a partial refund without your consent, despite not using any of the music. I managed to get a full refund by telling them how the law works, but not a good use of my time, nor yours. Avoid

Definitely the best PC app & internet blocker

Definitely the best PC app & internet blocker. Completely free and lengthy trial without asking for your payment info.

Has a few bugs that they still haven't fixed, i.e. GUI bugs/freezes, settings sometimes clearing itself (but they have regular automatic backups in the app folder itself, so settings can be recovered), and the time limit blocking not working when watching in fullscreen (e.g. Netflix or YouTube). However, they seem to be actively updating the program so I'm not sure why these haven't been fixed.

I wish they'd allow you to view the full list of blocked websites/apps while a plan is enabled, but you can only see a preview. Also, they allow you to choose whether you want the blocker to close specific apps or just minimise them, but they don't allow you to choose this individually for each plan (and hence for each app) - they only let you globally set it for all plans that block selected apps.

It has tons of really great customisation options. For example, you could set a password for some of your blocking presets/plans, but you can also set it so that you have to enter anywhere up to 2000 characters to disable a blocking preset/plan instead (to deter you from unblocking just for the sake of procrastination).

Seeing the development, care and level of detail in this program, in addition to the resilience of the blocker itself, I hope this will be continually improved and am confident it would become a brilliant, widely used tool. For example, I've used Freedom and Cold Turkey and this is better.

I look forward to seeing it improve.

They pay a criminally low amount

They pay a criminally low amount, and they never pay you until you reach a huge amount of earnings (which is practically impossible because of the amount they pay). Avoid.

Scammers

Scammers. Stole over £100 from me in subscriptions by not sending any email notifying that my trial wasn't cancelled until 1 year later when payment failed, then refused to refund this once they were informed of it.

Genuinely terrible company

Genuinely terrible company, so bad that they may be classed as real scammers. If you read this, just don't buy anything from them, ever. Massdrop (or "Drop") is the first company I've actually had money stolen from (as in they won't return £55 (inc. delivery) I paid for a product (earphones) I never received).

Review of CJS CD Keys

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Extremely Rude and Truly Disgusting Company

Allow me to preface this by saying this was NOT a one-time bad customer experience - I bought a product from them a few months earlier, and that was chaotically handled, too, as well as it taking a week to receive my money back. I can firmly say I will never purchase from CJS CD Keys ever again, and I strongly advise those who read this to avoid this company and look elsewhere, as you will likely lose money rather than save a few pounds here.

Extremely rude and disgusting company. I ordered a game for £5.99 (Starbound) which was said on the product page to be restocked within 12 hours, yet I received no key or message from the company in that time, and the product page still said the product would be restocked within 12 hours, which is a very deceiving company practice.

More importantly, I contacted customer service after 12 hours regarding the awaited receipt of my product, and the representative was disgustingly rude, so much to the extent that I cannot understand how they are a legally established company. The representative and their company would not honor the price listed on their product page at time of purchase solely because they could not stock the product for the same price anymore, and they told me I would have to pay £13 for the same product if I wish to receive it. They decided to leave apparently "2 or 3" people (according to the representative) in disappointment and waste their time just to save 2-3 lots of £7 (they would not give the CD keys to me and one or two other people who already paid the price of £6 listed on their website's product page), which is utterly disgraceful - horrific customer service just to save less than £21. When I asked to speak to the manager of their company, they said their manager "isn't online right now", and then they said they could call their manager but there's no need because they claimed there's nothing better than a full refund, then when I asked to speak with them again, and they had the audacity to say "just because I'm a girl". The representative even said to me "We don't give away games for free", as if I was asking such a thing - extremely rude and unacceptable conduct!
