I am extreme disapointed and frustration with the abysmal service I have received regarding my broken Candy washing machine. This issue has now been ongoing for three weeks, causing significant inconvenience, distress, and negative impacts on my mental health.
On October 27th, my washing machine malfunctioned and ceased to operate. I promptly contacted your support team on October 28th and was assured that an engineer would be dispatched on October 30th to rectify the problem.
However, upon the engineer's visit, it was determined that a specific part, "the board", needed to be ordered. Since then, I have been subjected to a series of delays, miscommunications, and broken promises. Despite numerous follow-up calls and emails initiated by me, I have been left in the dark regarding the status of the repair and the estimated delivery time for the replacement part. Even if the required part arrives and the repair is attempted, there is no guarantee that this will fully resolve the issue. The underlying problem with the machine remains unknown, and there is a possibility of further complications arising.
Your company's ethos, as proudly displayed on your website, emphasises treating customers with care, empathy, and respect. You claim to "treat every customer like our own nan," to "make decisions that make our mum proud," and to "genuinely care, listen to each other, and do everything we can to make things better." However, my experience has been far from this ideal. The lack of timely communication, the extended wait times, and the overall inefficiency of the repair process have been incredibly frustrating.
If this is how you treat your valued customers, one can only imagine how you would treat those who are not.
Not one customer representative has been helpful, some have even been rude. It is disheartening that no one has been able to resolve this issue. The constant back-and-forth, the broken promises, and the lack of accountability have been incredibly stressful.
My insurance policy with Domestic & General explicitly states that if a repair cannot be completed within 20 working days, a replacement appliance will be provided. As of today, November 15th, this threshold has nearly been reached, and I am yet to receive any information regarding a replacement.
Despite repeated assurances that someone would contact me, all I have received are automated messages and letters that take weeks to arrive. No one has called me prior to today regarding my complaint, and the call made today consistently went straight to voicemail, with no number to return a call or get in contact with. This lack of proactive communication is unacceptable.
I raised a formal complaint on November 6th, following negative reviews I left on Trustpilot. Domestic & General claimed to have attempted to contact me, but no calls were received, and no voicemail messages were left. Instead, I received a letter stating that the issue had been resolved, which was clearly not the case.
Today, when I contacted your support team, I was immediately transferred to the complaints department, where I was informed that my case was being handled by a specific individual. However, I was not given the opportunity to speak with this person directly or receive any further updates.
This level of incompetence and disregard for customer satisfaction is unacceptable. I demand an immediate resolution to this issue. Given the prolonged nature of the problem, I believe the only acceptable solution is the delivery of a brand-new washing machine within the next week.
I intend to escalate this matter to local newspapers and other media outlets if this issue is not resolved promptly. I will also be contacting the relevant ombudsman to formally complain about your company's poor service. I believe this level of incompetence and disregard for customer satisfaction warrants formal action. I will not rest until this situation is rectified and my family is compensated for the inconvenience, distress, and negative impact on our mental health.

Absolutely joke of a companys aftercare. Stay away from the insurance and save your self a lot of stress. After 10 days the engineer company has been in touch to say they are coming on Friday but despite domestic and general telling me I can have a appointment after 4pm.i have now been informed they can not tell me the time of my appointment till either the night before the morning of the appointment. I work in education so unfortunately I can not just take the day off to wait. I have already raised a complaint but because I didn't answer the phone(again I was teaching) they have written to me which I haven't t received. Fed up getting passed from pillar to post and everyone tells me different things. My case number 12761019 in case anyone from domestic and general or candy want to help me towards getting a working washing machine

Would give this company 0 stats if I could. Do not buy insurance from this company. I wrote a negative review yesterday and ao got in touch which I did and the instead of putting the phone down(which they usually do) they decide to not reply to messages. Be warned out can take up to 6 weeks for a washing machine to be repaired with the insurance

Don't bother purchasing insurance on your product. When it comes to needing your washing machine fixed they do not have the part available. You then have to phone up engineers and domestic and general daily to be told it could be up to 20 working days or more before it is fixed. You raise a complaint and you are told it is 3/5 days before the complaint is looked at, in the meantime you are still paying your insurance.

Awful company. 4 months paying for a full working Internet and I have not received the service I have paid for. Lots of engineers have been put but unable to fix the fault (they are booked in to fix the fault next sat, Again!) Tonight no Internet at all. When I have phoned up to complain after waiting on hold for 1 hours and 38 min they put the phone down on me. Great customer services. Go with another company who will not put the phone down on you and give you a working service.

Never brought of Ted Baker before and I certainly won't be ordering anything again. Brought my son a bracelet, first the order for cancelled then, I got my order and I got refunded. Then they wanted the money back again. Finally got the bracelet and within a week it broke. I had to keep emailing to see where my replacement was. I got 20% of my original order but when they sent the replacement bracelet the price on the box was £25.I phoned up asking why I didn't get the bracelet for this price and I asked for this to be looked into. This was last Thursday, no reply of Ted Baker. Think very carefully if you order of Ted Baker. They do not look after their customers at all. Xx

Awful company stay well away. Won't pay out on a leak. Home emergency plumber from esure first came out but didn't even put the water on!! First assessor came out and told me the grout had gone (which it hasn't it's just had mildew on which a builder told me last night) and she told me to stick pins in my grout to check the grout.!!which is a big no from all of the many builders I have in. The 2nd assessor told me he would be phoning the builder to speak to him. He didn't. Everyone is quick to take your money off you but they won't pay out. Been with the company for 4 years and this is how they treat you.
