I was bamboozled into taking out an expensive £24 a month subscription on the Carnimeat app. I bought what I thought was a one off special offer 7day menu for £6 but I did not understand it came with an automated subscription agreement. I complained but the helpdesk said I had not cancelled in time. I could not cancel, because I did not know I had a subscription until the first payment was taken automatically. Its a tricky app and full of "special offers" that are very difficult to navigate away from without committing to more spending.

I was so tempted to buy the Olavita Liquid Solution. But I thought it was a scam. I read the reviews on Trustpilot. I saved £100s - by trusting the reviews that said it was a scam and they all lost money.

I was sent the wrong item, the paperwork was correct. But I was sent a 5 stone ring, not the 3 stone trilogy ring I ordered. No response 2 days after I informed Customer Service Dept.

bought a new vacuum cleaner, with an online discount code. Good price and fast delivery to my door. All I ask from a company, give a decent discount and arrange reliable delivery. The vacuum cleaner is quiet in operation and efficient in use.
Isa maturity transfer easy to complete. Plenty time given to consider options. I elected to stay with Aldermore Bank as the interest rate was excellent.
I was happy with the underwriters, but the our current insurance broker wanted to increase the price by £150. By using Quoteline it was a better deal for us, they arranged a cheaper price, same cover with the same underwriters. Using Quoteline worked out well for us.

Happy to recommend this company Proovia. Communication was very good and their team who delivered my goods were helpful, polite and cheerful. This delivery was to a remote rural location in Scotland. The service was both fast and great value for the price.
Our first time using the Shiply Service. The System worked well, we got a good range of quotes and the courier we accepted - not the cheapest- gave great service and delivered the goods quickly and in good condition.
My daughter and huband were given an 8 year old Mamas and Papas cotbed but no instructions. Ten out of ten to Mamas and Papas'customer help department. When I sent a request for assembly instructions a file was emailed the next day. The cotbed is from the Modensa range and it is fantastic quality. It will do their baby, due in April, for at least 2 years as a cot then another 2 or 3 years as a small bed. Re-using baby equipment is the greenest thing to do saves £000's and its good for the planet. Thanks Mamas and Papas from a grateful granny to be.
No complaints about the buying process, the money for the item + postage is taken from your account within 24 hours, the item arrives about 7 days later.
You have 30 days to make a return if you change your mind once you see the actual item which arrives in a tiny sealed transparent envelope, which is inside other very nice packaging . But you cannot try the item on because of the sealed packaging.
However when you make a return - you have to pay for expensive insured postage (in UK about £8) and it takes them at least a week to acknowledge they have received the item, then 2 more days to complete the return review process then Gemporia send you an email to say they will make the refund payment - which will reach your account in 7 to 10 working days. Well 7-10 working days can be up to 14 calendar days.
I do not think this is good enough, a free returns label should be provided with every single purchase and the returns process could certainly be made faster once the item is received. Buyer beware, if you want to send an item back it will cost you at least £11 to cover the cost receiving and returning an item.

We are sorry to hear that you returned the earrings back to us, for hygiene reasons we send out our earrings in clear plastic packaging so that you can view them to decide if they are suitable. We hygiene seal these as part of our t’s and c’s so that if you do not wish to keep them you can take advantage of our 30 day money back guarantee and we can refund them for you.
We have checked your order details and we can see that the item was received back in our warehouse on 13th October and we authorised the refund back to your payment method on 15th October. We can only apologise that it took the transaction a few working days to show the transaction, unfortunately this is out of our control. Once the refund has been authorised by ourselves we do not have any further dealings with the transaction, some of the banks can take longer to clear a payment, and some can clear the transaction within 24 hours.
We appreciate that it Royal Mail do charge a high return postage cost between £6.45 and £7.50 to cover loss and damage in the post, unfortunately this is the cost that royal mail request and we do not have any control over these charges. We do always advise special delivery to ensure the safe return of the order but this is down to customer choice on how they would like to return an item. We offer a standard delivery cost to the UK of £2.95, this is a one off charge for the day to add as many items to the order until midnight of the same day to keep postage costs down for our customers.

The StaySavr browser extension for owners and renters is a wonderful idea.
After 24 hours it stopped working for me, but I have since heard from STAYSAVR their safety features have "blocked" me and they will unblock me asap.
Like most owners I find the additional hoops we have to jump through to use the major listing sites a real pest. ( OwnersDirect was a superb help to owners just a few years ago, but since being gobbled up by corporate entity HomeAway / EXPEDIA they have become very restricting and not at all useful)
Payment Choices are reduced and our business model is now based on a money generating corporate model - generating cash for corporate EXPEDIA. These middlemen websites are now charging renters a fee in addition to charging the owner to list their properties. - not at all what we owners want.
STAYSAVR is a great idea - bringing renters and owners together so they can deal direct with each other- more power to them!
