I have reviewed earlier

I have reviewed earlier, and thought the cost of a portfolio shoot was excessive to what I was expecting.The lady I spoke with Nadia Smith was pleasant enough, but mentioned the cost to me with relation to the shoot, later in the process, instead of at the beginning. In the meantime I’d paid a £50 deposit which was refundable.

Given the costs I never took part in the process, but some 2 months later I’m still awaiting my refund which is very disappointing.

I have requested my refund twice on email and twice on messaging, and still nothing.

A lady from the company after my previous review, said she would investigate the situation, and again nothing has happened. Leaving me very sad.

Get the costs on this first of all

I liked the idea of this so contacted this company. A lady called Nadia got in touch, Said I had passed all I had done was send a picture? But she told me about the process, She was very personable. I was willing to travel to London for a photo shoot, and paid a £50 deposit which was refundable. Then she mentioned a shoot portfolio would cost £500 minimum, I had a think and the money was too much for me. I have tried by text and email to get my money refunded no replies have been forthcoming. Please get the costs before you do anything.

We always aim to be transparent about our process and any associated costs, including the optional portfolio packages. The £50 deposit is indeed refundable in cases where a client chooses not to proceed, provided cancellation is made within the agreed timeframe.

I'm very sorry that your attempts to request a refund haven't been acknowledged, that’s not the level of communication we strive for. I’d like to look into this personally and make sure it’s resolved quickly.

Not a good business in my opinion

Not a good business in my opinion. My experience wasn’t good- I really fancied doing a bit of extras work. Ok I had a permanent job so it was difficult to allocate time for extras roles, but when I did answer positively all of the criteria- instantly they sent me an email saying I didn’t meet the criteria for the role. I would not renew this next year. I did ring the support team and the lady who answered saw my responses, and didn’t also
Know why I’d been rejected.

In relation to our casting process, if the system didn't consider you to be a match for a role based on your survey response, there could be a number of reasons for this. For example it could be you were not available for one of more of the mandatory dates, or perhaps there was a specific criteria we were looking for and you answered opposite. You may have also responded after the role became closed, depending on how long it took you to complete the survey.

I have tried to review your case, but was unable to find any registered members under the name you left this review under. However, if you spoke to our support, we would have expected them to explain further if you were confused, so this is definitely something we would like to look at in future to ensure we meet the high level of customer service expected at Uni-versal Extras.
