Review of HIPPO

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Highly recommended!

So impressed with the service we received from HIPPO! I was able to book my 8-yard skip with delivery within a few days and it arrived as agreed by a highly professional and friendly delivery partner, who had to handle some tricky roads for access, but did so without complaint. The amazing Wendy who handled logistics was then able to bring our collection forward by a few days, which was very much unexpected but so appreciated as it meant it created more space for our removal van which was scheduled to arrive later that day. The service HIPPO provide is outstanding in all areas and it removed a huge stress out of our house move - all at a fantastic price. We will look no further for waste removal in our future projects! Thank you HIPPO team.

One of the unfortunate ones

As many other customers have found out, CommunityFibre charges ridiculous cancellation fees if you happen to be in the unfortunate situation where you need to move house as a private tenant and they don't cover your new address. As I was joining an existing houseshare replacing an outgoing tenant, I was told I needed to close the existing account and open one in my name. I was concerned about this as I knew there was a chance I wouldn't be in the same property for 24 months (the joys of London's rental market). The sales person on the phone said that if I needed to move to a new address not covered by CF I would not have to pay early termination fees. On that promise, I signed the 24 month contract. Lo and behold, I am in the unfortunate situation where I need to move with approx 6 months left on contract, and I am being charged a fee for early termination. I have spoken to multiple advisors requesting that my phonecall with the sales person is retrieved and played back as they won't believe me. No one ever gets back to me with a resolution, the advisors just apologise and keep talking about the T&Cs, feels like you are speaking to robots!! I have been calling up chasing this for more than a month now; I asked to escalate to a manager, of course no call back. I am so disappointed as I genuinely enjoyed the service I received and would definitely switch back if I moved to a new property covered by CF. Unfortunately my experience has left a very bitter taste in my mouth as well as a bill that I now have to pay in full as it is in my name; my housemates are refusing to contribute and the company doesn't allow account transfers. They did have the cheek to send me a promotional email to refer a friend for £100 credit but cannot waiver the cancellation fee! Unreal how little they care about the 'community'.

Review of Flower Station

Customer care that actually cares

Following an issue with the delivery of an incorrect product, I raised a complaint with Flower Station. I was informed that the product was out of stock at the time I ordered but was told that once back in stock it would be re-delivered.

As promised, roughly a week later, the correct product was delivered to the recipient along with a gorgeous bouquet as a goodwill gesture. Given how busy the company is - one of the few florists to still be offering same day delivery in London during the COVID-19 crisis - I really appreciate their willingness to rectify their mistake. They care for their customers and go above and beyond to make things right.

Both sender and recipient very happy with the outcome! Thank you for the beautiful flowers.

Review of Cancelon

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Proceed with extreme caution

I stumbled across what seemed to be a great deal on trivago for a 6 night stay in a hotel in Ibiza, and proceeded to book with this incompetent "company". They were very quick enough to take my money and send their reservation "confirmation" and hotel voucher (?!?).

I was very skeptical about the whole process having read their policies and way they operate, so after the advised 24-48 hour waiting period for the hotel to receive the reservation, I rang the hotel directly to check.

The hotel informed me that there was neither a reservation on my name, nor on the dates that I had booked for. I contacted the hotel again the following week and got the same response. I then called cancelon who assured me they would contact their "third party sellers" (alarm bells sounded when I heard that), and they would contact the hotel with my reservation number. I again received a new confirmation from cancelon, waited a week, rang the hotel and surprise surprise, no reservation. I went through this whole process once again to give them another chance before admitting to myself that this is just a very poorly executed and suspicious scheme, and I would probably end up showing up at the hotel with no reservation or back up if I trusted them. I thus cancelled and requested a refund of the money - to their credit (?), I received my money back a few days later and breathed a sigh of relief.

This doesn't offset the emotional trauma of this whole experience, the time and money spent on calls to Spain, and the fact that this process took roughly a month to sort out. In the meantime the hotels at my holiday destination had shot up in price considerably, so I have had to pay a lot more than I had originally budgeted. Warning to you all to not put your faith in this company, no matter how good the deal looks - pay a little bit extra and book through more reliable booking websites or the hotel directly to avoid what I and many others have gone through.

Shame on you cancelon, and shame on trivago for listing them as a partner site. I will not be using either service again.
