Only order if you’re clairvoyant

Ordered a birthday cake for my mom’s special day, unfortunately this was delivered to my path. No knock at the door, food left on the floor and away the DPD man went.
Emailed customer services, no help at all. It is not their policy to refund for stolen items and it’s not DPD’s policy to knock the door. Avoid at all costs, will be going through small claims as this company is beyond a joke. I know understand why your business was in financial trouble.

Harassing

Signed up to broadband in October, the engineer didn’t ask where I’d like the cable to run. The cable looked ridiculous and I asked them to remove it for that reason, the neighbour complained it was on her property and the fact it had damaged my 3 month old render. Refused to do anything about it so cancelled after 3 days. I’m now receiving debt collection letters for £60. Would be laughable if I wasn’t about to remortgage and wasn’t ignored by the complaints department. See you in court Vodafone.

Avoid at all costs!

Avoid at all costs!
Brilliant sales to suck you in, shocking aftercare. They makes promises they can’t deliver. Main points:-
- It is NOT legal driving your car without tax
- Make sure you get any verbal agreements in writing, they deny agreeing to things verbally
- Take the car to a garage and get it checked over because the “200 point checklist” is non existent
- They get you to sign for the car before you get it checked over and then you get the “well you signed for it so agreed it was ok”

My honest advice is to go elsewhere but if you do take that risk, please note the above points.

My complaint has been brushed over, the car has issues, I unknowingly broke the law. Regardless of the outcome, il be contacting Trading standards, this isn’t on when purchasing one of the most expensive things in life.

Trade in beware

Before attempting to trade in your phone please take photos before you send it off! I’ve had an email to say my iPhone is now only worth £30 due to a crack on the camera. Asked about their insurance and told them I have proof the phone was in excellent condition, only to be ignored.

Infuriating

Infuriating! You have to talk to an online chat because they have no customer service number. I didn’t upgrade with ID because it was cheaper to take out a new contract with them. All I wanted to do was keep my number, simple! But no, they don’t do ID to ID transfer. Usually I wouldn’t mind but as I explained, my father is end of life and the hospital have my current number otherwise I would welcome a new one! For this reason, il be sending the new phone back and not bothering with ID when my current contract ends next week. Absolutely stupid! Not worth the hassle, go for bigger companies like EE

Unfortunately, you can't transfer your phone number from one ID contract to another, and we do outline this on our website. You can only keep your number via upgrading/plan changing via logging in on the app/website, or via a triangle port, or leaving us for another network via PAC code.

Shocking

You asked me for a review…… do not buy online from their store or if at all. Boots have arrived, dpd box undamaged but shoe box crushed and boots are dented, scratched and scuffed. Mallet clearly sent them out in this condition and shocking quality for an expensive pair of boots. Explained I’m out of the country with work but they are unable to collect or willing to refund me for a collection. If I’d of wanted the hassle of buying/returning then I would have took myself off to a shop. Happy to hold on to the £210 until I can get back to return them and have nothing to show for it. Cheap and unhelpful but trying to be a designer. I won’t ever buy a pair again, not worth the hassle or the expense. Excellent response from you, as expected. The only option was for you to wait until you was back in the UK and we would raise the return for you, send you the free label and noted the reason for the delay but this offer was rejected.

One star too many!

I had two separate orders and order numbers. I asked to cancel the one, they cancelled the wrong one. I had to chase a refund, then they refunded as a credit on JD Williams, I emailed them again, then the refunded the wrong account with the incorrect amount. It is now 5 weeks later, I’m still out of pocket and it’s taken me a stupid amount of communication to get this far. I will never order from this company again, it’s ridiculous and frustrating!!

My second time using 1st Central as…

My second time using 1st Central as they offer a fair price. I tried to change my policy as I’m working from home so no commuting and my mileage has dropped as you can imagine. The “quote” to make the changes meant my price went up. Charging more when we are in uncertain times and when people are trying to reduce costs and bills is low. I won’t be renewing with these guys again.

Research

I was doing some research in the interest of “fair gambling”. I deposited £10 which is the lowest amount. As I suspected the one day you win constantly (slot), I couldn’t withdraw the winnings because of wager rules even though it was over £100, tried the next day and lost it all. I noticed the same people win on bingo constantly. I’ve just drained the balance down by playing bingo knowing I wouldn’t win. Trying to close my account now but can’t find the link. It’s all a con, with the above tactics I’m not surprised some people become addicted. Nice try 888, very much a con!

I honestly can’t describe how infuriating it is to have your TV adverts rammed down my neck, whilst I’m sat eating my dinner on the floor. Why don’t you invest your money on getting deliveries to people on time instead of blowing your budget on marketing. I will most certainly cancel my order tomorrow and I’m fully prepared to wait another lead time just so that you don’t get a single penny from me. Look at the reviews before you waste your time ordering from this company.

5 month delivery!!

Ordered two corner sofas 16 weeks ago now and I called yesterday to chase and was told that it would be with me next week. My old sofa’s have been scrapped as I was moving house (the council could only collect this week otherwise I would be waiting till the end of Jan) and my disabled mom and elderly father are now sitting on plastic IKEA stools. I’ve received a call today to say the 8th of Jan is now more likely. This is a breach of your contract, 5 months for an order is beyond a joke, £60 refund is offensive on a £2000 order and what are we meant to sit on over Christmas? After speaking to a friend of mine who previously worked for a massive furniture store, “it’s stuck at the border” is the most common excuse used and means the shippers or manufacturers haven’t been paid. I am extremely patient and understand covid situation but all of my other orders via other sites have arrived on time. Not happy at all!

Con Artists!! Avoid at all costs

Do not use this company.
Called my elderly, disabled mom a few weeks ago and she mentioned that she was harassed and couldn’t get rid of them (she’s too polite to put the phone down). I am the bill payer and went to top up my Utilita account with £40 but noticed my smart metre wouldn’t work. Mom called whilst I was at work and called me in floods of tears. Turns out Boost have switched us to them! I called to complain and they do not care at all. I am about to run out of gas and electricity as I refuse to accept their T&C’s by doing so! They said they can put me on emergency but I am charged 75p per day interest. Your complaints department haven’t called me back and you are about to cut my power off. We never agreed to switch to you, my mother is not the bill payer and now you are about to leave me without power. I am taking this further as you are an absolute disgrace of a company who harass and coerce the vulnerable in order to get business. I WILL NOT wait 14 weeks for you to switch us back and I WILL NOT line your pockets!!

They cancelled our return flight and I’ve had to chase my refund 4 weeks later when I realised I’d been charged interest on my card. Apparently I have to wait another 10 days and can’t claim for the interest I have been charged.

Expensive

Customer service staff extremely helpful when our flights were cancelled by Ryan air at short notice. Flights have cost us double and we booked in a panic. We decided to add baggage at a later stage so that we secure our flights first, unfortunately it’s costing us more to add a suitcase now. Called and asked about a discount code that I found but this only works if you use it on new bookings not existing?!

Do not use this company!!

Do not use this company, offering flights that aren’t available!!
Booked and paid for flights yesterday only to receive an email to say the flights are no longer available. Sent a dodgy email with alternative flights to fly out and come back on the same day?! From the reviews below it’s seems as though we aren’t the only ones that have been lured by false advertising. You are still offering the flights now!! I’m awaiting an email back from my complaint but won’t hold my breath. Quick to take money but not to stand to an agreement. You owe me for travel insurance, car parking and extra baggage purchased.

Zero Stars!

Mobile Phones Direct contacted me as I was due an upgrade. Promised next day delivery so I booked the day off work, phone hasn’t arrived. Told I was already with EE so didn’t need approval or credit check, had a text to say ‘pending network decision’ but according to EE they have no record. I was told they had no plans lower than 30GB looked online and they have 4GB. Told the plan was £68 a month, looked online and it says £63. I am now calling them to cancel and have been waiting to speak to them for 30 minutes so far. Absolute disgrace of a company, feeding you lies so that you buy and they hit their sales targets! Called EE and they have matched the deal so worth a call to the network directly, wished I hadn’t of wasted my time.
