Very efficient service
I’m always relieved when I’m told it’ll be DPD doing the delivery. Although they give you a time slot anyway, their App allows you to see whereabouts the delivery driver is in relationship to you, so it gives you a chance to put out some washing, or nip down to the local shops before they arrive.

Very knowledgable and professional engineers who go the extra mile to make the repair happen there and then. If it can’t be repaired on that occasion, then they quickly arrange for the part to be ordered and agree a day that suits for the next visit.

I ordered a New World gas cooker on 5th…
I ordered a New World gas cooker on 5th August and I was told it would take about 10 days for delivery. I phoned Deals4u a week later to get an exact date and time slot, but I was told they were still waiting for it to come into them.
I contacted them again a couple of days later and they said they expected to have it by the end of the following week and would treat this as priority delivery.
The following week came and was I told that they'd received it and were shipping it out to their distribution centre in Halfiax. From there, it will be sent to us as priority delivery. Well suffice to say, it hadn't turned up at Halifax on the day and nor so the following day either. They said they were still looking for it. This went on and on and upon my final conversation with them, on Wed 5th Sept, they said they were shipping out another pallet with a second identical cooker on it, in case our one was still missing. They had trouble receiving the first one and now a second one was suddenly available. Now the alarm bells were really ringing.
I called them the following day for progress.....not answering the phone. Called them again.....still not answering. Called them on Fri 7th Sept, still no answer and this time I phoned from a different number just in case they regonised my number and wanted to avoid me. I even emailed them and still no reply.
In the end, I contacted my credit card company and explained the situation. They immediately refunded my card (fortunately) and are in the process of contacting Deals4u. I don't know whether Deals4u have suddenly stopped trading, but if they haven't then all I will say is, "never again!" That said, they were never rude, despite my persistence.
Anyway, I ordered the same cooker from AO.com on Sat 8th Sept and expecting delivery Wed 12th Sept. Wish I went with them in the first place.

Christmas experience in Hamleys, London.
We visited the London store on Sat 23rd Dec with our daughter and her 3 children. It was our grand-daughter's birthday so the visit was more of a treat for her. Within minutes of being inside the store, we were met by one of the Christmas elves (Aaron), who gave us a floor by floor tour of the store and made our grand-daughter's day.
In general, the staff were very helpful and certainly pulled out all the stops to make every child's experience of the store one to remember.

We bought the "Lunar Copper Metal and Glass Modular Mosaic (300mm x 300mm), which is now on the kitchen wall and looks brilliant.
It was a very good experience dealing with the Stone Tile company. Very efficient, polite and helpful staff, who immediately reply to any query we had.
