Courier lets them down !!

I have initially only given UK Sign Shop 3* because I am waiting for my first order delivery to be sorted out.
Not UK Sign Shop's problem, it's with their courier-Amazon Deliveries- Non Delivery !!
UK Sign Shop have been OK so far, but their courier, "Not So"
The only issue I have had so far is that the company are extremely poor at answering the phone !!, but emails received a rapid response (thanks' Melissa).
Once this issue is resolved, I will be able to review properly and accurately, Watch this space.

Well I'm back as promised.

UPDATED REVIEW - 10/6/2025.
NOW a 5* + REVIEW, (the + is for Melissa)
UK Sign Shop (Melissa) have now completely sorted the problem out to my total and complete satisfaction.
They replaced my sign extremely quickly, using Royal Mail, they assured me and kept me fully informed and updated about every stage of the delivery process, and their parcel was delivered within 1 hour of their last email to me.
I personally don't think you could get a better service than that.
Thank you once again Melissa for your fantastic service, UK Sign Shop should be extremely proud to have you as an employee, I hope they realise this.
I would now rate "UK Sign Shop 5*"

Great company, good value, beats all the "Big Boys"

I have amended this review since reading some other reviews left around the same time .......
1st. I must commend and 100% agree with
Shane Preston's comments and just add
"you can't legislate for all idiots".
2nd. Congratulations "low EnergySupermarket.com"
for your logical and simplistic replies to
S.Mernagh & Alex B, once again
"you can't legislate for ........"
My only complaint for this company, Please take
notice of the several comments left by many of
your customers, regarding tracking problems
with your preferred delivery company -
please stop using Parcelforce, they are dreadful,
look at their reviews !

I only placed a small order for a tap aerator, but what I liked is it's a family run business, but it still offered free postage, even on a small value item, unlike some other large international or foreign companies who are now getting far too greedy, wanting 'substantial' minimum value orders just to get free postage.
Please keep up the good work.

A stand out all round excellent, fair & friendly utility company.

I have been with Octopus Energy for several years now.
From my very first interaction with them about switching, they have been excellent to deal with, their staff are extremely efficient, helpful, polite, friendly, and caring.
Also the ability to talk to a human and not some automated robotic answer machine which has a limited amount of useless options, is very pleasing and refreshing these days.
Finally and perhaps most importantly (as I am a pensioner) in these days of austerity and high fuel costs, I have found their tariffs to be both fair and competitive.

Don't ask for reviews prematurely, before the service start date !

I don't like being asked to complete a survey or review my experience with any company before my cover start date.
I feel the only time I can honestly review a company's performance is after the first call out.
Therefore I will reserve judgment until then.
Perhaps you should review your automated systems policies and submit these requests timeously.
I feel it's like being asked to rate / review your holiday a month before you get there !!!.

Boiler OK, Wireless Bosch Easy Control RF unit, Not

I have been a Worcester Bosch advocate for the last 30+ years, working in Housing Management and Maintenance.
My home boiler needed replacing (24 year old W/B 28CDi), I replaced it with a Greenstar 28CDi Compact and after taking advice from my installation engineer and a few ex work colleagues / installation engineers, decided to install a Wireless Bosch Easy Control (White) RF unit, which looked very stylish and had good reviews within the industry (and most importantly my wife liked it)
The boiler has worked well and lives up to my expectations
HOWEVER the Easy Control RF unit was a complete and utter disastrous issue to set up !!
It took several days and many hours of time for me and my installation engineer to try to resolve the issue, numerous calls to your technical help line, a visit from a W/B senior technical engineer (who was useless), and a replacement Easy Control RF unit, also I had to have my "Broadband supplier" split my router before the issue was eventually resolved.
My wife found the whole experience extremely distressing and was in tears pleading with me to have our installation engineer rip out the new boiler and reinstate the old boiler.
Your installation instructions gives no highlight or mention to any of the problems I have had with this installation also the extra expense incurred for the RF unit over the standard programmer supplied with the boiler pack, the extra expense incurred in time by my installer and the unnecessary stressful inconvenience caused during the commissioning process which was no fault of my installation engineer OR indeed myself.
I now feel totally and utterly disillusioned and disappointed with Worcester Bosch and would no longer see them as a leading world manufacturer of gas boilers, nor would I further recommend W/B to any future enquirers.
I would be delighted to have your response to these comments, hopefully from a Senior Manager and perhaps have some further discussion to alleviate this issue from happening to any future customers, I do not expect I am the only person in the world that has had this experience.

When it comes to pay, Interest Free Option Disappears.

In the ordering process, it said I could pay in 3 interest free instalments, but by the time I got to the payment stage there was no choice but to pay full amount !! ?
The product itself is very good & robust.
Packaging however not so good, both ends were flimsy and torn, possibly needs a second layer of cardboard just to strengthen the ends due to the weight of product.

Refreshingly Excellent Company To Deal With.

I recently placed my first ever (small) order with Internet Electrical and had a problem which was my fault. After sending an email, a wonderful lady called Anni phoned me by return and sorted everything out immediately, professionally and empathetically. Delivery received the next day.
It is so refreshing and rare in this day and age to deal with a customer focused company and a human on the end of the phone (and not have to hang on in a queuing system for ages)
A brilliant company and service which I would thoroughly recommend to anyone.
APC Overnight Delivery (the courier) also provided an excellent service.

Problem with recent bill, Kristle from Octopus sorted it in minutes.

I have been with Octopus for nearly 3 years now, and it is the best utility company, by far, that I have dealt with for customer care, customer service, efficiency and helpful staff and of course reasonable price (that's why I've never left them).
I submitted my last meter readings as normal at the end of April. I had expected a larger bill due to recent well publicised energy price hikes.
When my bill arrived it was a big shock, so I contacted Octopus, I realised I had misread meter.
Krystle from Octopus contacted me within minutes, solved problem and gave reassurance.

USELESS SHOCKING COMPANY

I gave this 1 star as no 0 option.
NEVER go near this company, I will never use this company again to book a holiday and would NOT RECOMMEND it to anyone.
The following is the sorry saga of my holiday booking experience with this company over a period of 7 months.
I booked a holiday on 26/11/2019 to Halkidiki Grece, for 6 May 2020, paid deposit with further 5 monthly payments to follow.
In mid March FCO/Government announced travel restrictions on all foreign travel, this was the trigger required to cancel all non essential travel and holidays abroad till further notice.
I contacted Broadway travel regarding the last two payments and they advised me to make the payments, otherwise I would effectively be cancelling my holiday and would not be entitled to a refund. They issued a voucher which I immediately refused and said I would only accept a full cash refund.
A further 16 emails were sent by me between 10 April 2020 and 29 June 2020, some of which were not even acknowledged !! but in every case I demanded my full refund be paid within 14 days, as per travel regulations governing travel providers.
Of the ones answered, it was a different person dealing with my claim every time !! one email said I would receive a refund after 31 July 2020, then 2 emails later they said my refund would be considered after 30 September 2020, both random and unexplained dates seemingly just plucked out of thin air !!!
During our email exchanges, Broadway travel used many different excuses to NOT refund my money, one of which was to blame the flight operator and the hotel for not returning the funds paid to them and Broadway Travel could not refund me until they received their funds back. I smell a rat here ! ....... so I contacted the hotel direct and they told me that they do not receive any money from the travel company until after I have booked into the hotel on holiday, they say this is more or less industry standard.
I contacted the carrier airline who told me all monies for all holidays booked up to 15 May 2020 had been repaid to travel companies by that date.
I contacted Broadway Travel on 25 June and again on 29 June 2020 to advise them that I was fully aware of the financial situation regarding Broadway Travel having received their money back from the airline company and never having paid the hotel and they were withholding my money illegally.
Then Finally on 1 July 2020 I received confirmation of my refund and it was paid into my bank account on 2 July 2020.
I do appreciate the unprecedented situation that COVID19 brought and to some degree the turmoil that the company faced, but they could have employed extra staff to cope (other travel companies coped perfectly well).
The problem I have is the inconsistencies of reply (or lies) they gave and the negative attitude generally, if I have a problem, I look for a way to solve it, not an excuse to delay.
Finally, Broadway Travel held almost £1000 of my money in their bank account for almost 7 months, if they did that for every holiday booked over this period, even in these days of low interest, just imagine how much money they have made ... you do the maths !!!
This is a shocking way for any company to behave.

Fantastic Energy Company

From the moment I contacted Octopus with a view to possibly transferring, I received a reply within 2 hours answering fully all the queries I had, I had no hesitation joining them as my supplier.
The transfer went seamlessly without a hitch and the service was faultless, keeping me regularly updated.
It has now been one year since I joined Octopus, and have no hesitation in renewing for a further 12 months.
I pay by monthly standing order and simply send my meter readings every month, and within 2 hours I receive my bill/account update.
Never mind the "Big Six", for me there is only one energy supplier, Octopus Energy.
