Didn't honor price or contact me

I ordered a £160 item that was £10 cheaper than a rival site and about £10 more expensive than another site - but I'd used AWT-IT in the past and thought I could rely on them. I even paid for quicker delivery.

The item didn't arrive and I was busy so a week later I contacted them and got told to pay an extra £66 because they'd made a mistake.

They did not contact me at the time they decided not to ship.

I cancelled the order.

-1* for mispricing in the first place and wasting my time
-1* for not contacting me when they decided not to ship
-1* for not accepting their mistake or in any way compensating for the issue

Edit to add: Just before I sent this review I bought the exact same branded memory from a different retailer for £167 (vs AWD-IT's £226) and it turned up the next day.
I will add +1* back for taking the time tor respond to criticism and hopefully review processes.

We completely understand that this situation has been frustrating, and we agree that the inconvenience caused isn’t acceptable.

Unfortunately, as the item was listed in error at an incorrect price, we are not obliged to fulfil the order at that price, especially where the difference is significant. That said, we fully understand how disappointing this must have been.

We also acknowledge that there was a delay in communication, which understandably added to the frustration, and we’re sorry for that. As requested, your order was cancelled and a full refund was processed.

Nectar - ripping you off personally

Nectar - ripping you off personally

So I'm finding "Nectar prices" to mean that most of the time we're ripping you off big time.
I don't want "special prices" just for me. I want to choose what I want and know that this week you didn't just double the price of my shopping because you know the things I like to buy!

Captcha hell

I had to complete about 5 captchas whilst browsing over a 2-3 hour period.

The site was otherwise fine and you had exactly the products I needed at a competitive price - why make it so I feel annoyed instead of delighted?

Great product; really terrible communication

Now it's here it's great. Reliable and fast.

The company has terrible communication.

I ordered their fibre product and it took 3.5 years to arrive due to slow network build. At no time during this period did they contact me or communicate any delays. All calls resulted in "a few months" as the ETA.
I found nearby neighbours who had had installations almost 9 months before and I still had to call and ask when I could be installed. I work from home so that was really really annoying.

However, once installed things have been very smooth and the product itself is fine.

All good until things went wrong

The 'as new' machine I bought arrived promptly, was acceptably packaged but didn't actually do the job and then broke down.
Abbey took over 10 contacts (email & phone) over 2.5 months to resolve this; didn't pay the refund until chased and needed Consumer Rights Act to be mentioned to actually respond. The manager was often curt and unhelpful.
In the end I got my money back less £20 postage which is why it's 2 stars and not 1.
Personally I wouldn't use them again.
