Review of holidaycottages.co.uk
Great location central to many interesting and fascinating Suffolk attractions- Birds of Prey, Museums, Gardens, Zoo & Interactive Vineyards.
Very well-equipped property with very comfortable and spacious bedrooms. It has all the white goods you need and a smart TV to satisfy all viewing tastes.
Village store, farm shop and local pub with good food all within walking distance - and all with friendly, welcoming staff.
Review of LANDMANN UK
This company is a disgrace!
A rating of zero stars is more appropriate.
My barbecue has corroded to the point of uselessness after just 2 years (always cleaned and covered after each use) but replacement parts used to be available.
The email below, from the company, is self-explanatory and sums up their complete lack of respect for their customers (just to be clear, all the components I need are listed as sold out even though the product is still available!)
"Hello,
Landmann has ceased trading in Great Britain.
All spare parts that are still available can be found in the store under Spare Parts.
If the spare part you require can no longer be found in the store or is sold out, it will no longer be available in the future.
We wish you all the best.
Kind regards"
Don't wate any money on their products

Although plants and shrubs are well-packaged with arrows on the box to show which way should be up, they always arrive with compost spilled into the carton, roots exposed and leaves and branches broken.
Much more care is needed when transporting plants.
I also expect the delivery driver to alert the homeowner of the delivery by ringing the bell or knocking on the door rather than the normal tactic of abandoning the parcel on the door step and departing rapidly - presumably so that they may be spared questions about the damaged state of their deliveries.

The delivery driver dumped the damaged package on the doorstep, rang the bell and left immediately without waiting for the door to be opened.
The message received by email said that the parcel had been left in a safe place - pease define “safe”; a parcel left in full view of passers by ready to be stolen does not fit my understanding of “safe”

Review of Marco Pierre White Restaurants
Advised need for gluten free menu in advance. Shock horror reaction from ‘restaurant’ receptionist who was unable to identify GF foods on menu
Starters really good; GF salmon (only after arrogant approval from manager???) was mediocre, sirloin steak not available (in steak restaurant?) and substituted ribeye inedible - the supplied steak knife failed to cut the gristle and connective tissue attached to this £29.00 piece of protein which was cooked almost blue even though the recommended medium rare was specified. The ultimate insult was delivered by a member of hotel management 10 minutes after serving coffee by presenting a chocolate brownie to a known gluten intolerant guest
Unbelievably inept, incompetent and way outside acceptable service standards
Does the Michelin starred (although returned) patron know just how disrespectfully his name is being used?
This is a place to avoid even if you have to book in this moderate hotel
Review of Marco Pierre White Restaurants
Appalling!
Does Marco Pierre have any sort of conscience or concern about this pretentious and failing outlet bearing his name?
Despite being advised in advance about a gluten intolerance, the ‘restaurant’ manager could not identify menu items which could be appropriate.
Sirloin steak not available (in a steakhouse??) and the alternative suggested ribeye (£29.00) absolutely inedible.
Review of UK Warranty
Zero stars is, sadly, not an option.
After a faulty cooker was replaced (unfit for purpose) this company contacted me as a part of Appliances Direct and offered ongoing insurance for the total of four items all supplied at the same time. They failed, however, to cancel the original policy on the defunct cooker. I discovered some 6 months later that I had been paying monthly direct debits for this cover, cancelled the policy and requested a refund of the payments made for the cooker which was returned to them.
They proceeded to initiate a full-scale investigation of a 'complaint' resulting in a refusal to reimburse the monthly payments but also CANCELLED the policy on the new oven.
Reading a very poorly-constructed report, it seems that this 'compliance manager' has totally confused a simple situation and concentrated on just one of the two policy numbers - but; if this final judgement fails to be accepted by me, I should seek help from the Ombudsman!
I have now received a new quotation from a different insurer with premiums lower by 14% (although the sales team promised to be the cheapest)
My advice: Steer well clear

Package of live plants arrived with the box full of loose compost - clearly the result of the package being inappropriately handled.
Let's hope that the displaced plants can be saved!

Review of Garolla
Great job, well made and fitted efficiently on time. It has made a great difference to the garage and warmer too.
My only concern is that I have yet to receive paperwork in the form of a consumer operating manual plus the receipt for my payment which I made nearly three weeks ago and, as yet I have been unable to contact the installer,
Review of Victorian Plumbing
Even in these difficult times, it is often necessary to discuss matters with a customer service adviser.
Sadly this proved impossible on this occasion - let's hope my planned questions will be answered when the order arrives.
Review of Starling
Does what it says on the tin. I have had no problems with my two accounts so far so cannot comment how any such problems may be addressed or reconciled.
So far, so good - an impressive and efficient way to bank with instant access to all relevant information pertinent to my needs
Review of Bensons For Beds
Shopping at Bensons turned out to be a relatively painless experience with excellent guidance from knowledgable sales staff willing to spend time with customers.
I assume that the product will live up to expectations (the showroom examples appear to have survived the ravages of less-than-subtle customers and their offspring) and the package was acquired for a very reasonable price.
The lack of the fifth star rating is due purely for the extended wait of over two weeks which has to be endured before the goods will be delivered - especially irritating as the bed is a pretty important part of everyday living and is needed urgently. I believe it is a stock item, so two weeks plus???
Review of ProCook
With availability on line on all products, ProCook supplies excellent quality goods very efficiently.
However, the overriding reasons for my choice are based on the fact that the goods can be seen and weighed up in the company shop outlets - would you buy such important items blind without inspection?
Whether you buy in the shop or on line for very quick delivery, the result is that you will receive equipment of excellent quality at very fair prices with superb promise for many years of trouble-free service
