Hoping for a repeat experience!

I've used Ben's Bus before (in 2023) and the whole experience, from booking through to the actual journey, was very good.

This time booking (for the same transfer, in January 2026) was just as easy but, perhaps not surprisingly, prices have gone up. I am confident that this time journey will be just as good!

Bosch Home Appliances customer service team provided perfect customer service!…

Bosch Home Appliances customer service team gave me excellent help in finding the product literature for a rather dated product. An added bonus was that my dialogue with the service agent was conducted on WhatsApp, easier than email or text messaging.

Can't fault 4ourhouse!

Can't fault 4ourhouse! The offering is wonderful. I wanted a small but essential component for a dehumidifier. I found it on the web site, ordered and paid for it in less time than its taken to write this, and it was delivered two days later. Ok, the delivery charge was double the value of the item, but that's a fixed overhead and is a small price to pay for such good service.

Marvellous after sales service

Marvellous after sales, consistently, from four different members of staff at Blinds 247!
I needed small components that previous owners of my house hadn't replaced when they broke them. So, I wasn't the original purchaser but I was made to feel as if I was. Four different people handled my questions with care and courtesy. Once they were sure of what I needed I spoke to the last of them to make payment. The items are expected to arrive within three days.
It is very refreshing to receive such good customer care even for what are small, low-value items.

Gets all the on-line retailing detail right!

Extensive product range - given the myriad small items in plumbing and bathrooms trades, this is a big undertaking. A question put to the customer services team was answered quickly. Selecting, ordering and paying securely were straightforward, and delivery of my (low value) order was very quick. What's not to like?

Easy to navigate the web site, industry-standard security of payment process, very good value for money (especially if you have to book with less than 20 hours' notice, as I did when my rail travel was cancelled!).

Everything worked well!

Identifying with certainty the part I needed was the first requirement, and I found it more or less straight away on the web site. The rest was easy - ordering and secure payment were done in minutes. Speed of delivery was outstanding, as the Christmas rush was under way as well as the possibility of disruption to postal services due to industrial action. Well done Ransoms!

The Real Boiler Company does it properly - very good on-line arrangements for booking appointments, paying etc. Excellent engineer - conscientious, knowledgeable, explains things clearly. I booked a follow-on appointment for another aspect of my central heating immediately after the first visit.

Great range of packaging products. Make sure you understand delivery arrangements.

I'm glad I found the Davpack website - I wanted a tape binding machines and couldn't find them anywhere else. I had to make use of the on-line chat help service first, because I didn't know anything about the product. Ordering and the check-out process were straightforward. Despatch arrangements seemed simple - I wanted to collect my order from a designated pick-up point. My only minor quibble is that I was advised that I would receive an email when my order was ready for collection but that actually only applied to collections from Davpack themselves. It took four days to find that out, but no real inconvenience to me.

Tried and tested down the years!

I have used eSpares.co.uk many times down the years and thoroughly recommend this company. The range of parts they stock is vast (parts for a 15-year old Flymo? No problem!), yet the web site is very logical and easy to navigate - but if you can't find what you're looking for there is a chat facility with a knowledgeable, helpful person at the other end. Prices always seem competitive, on line ordering straightforward and the delivery service is second to none. I have never had to return anything ordered from eSpares so I have no experience of that.

Mobile fitting service let me down, badly

I needed to change all four tyres on a Volvo V50 at short notice. The nearest Kwikfit Branch didn't have any booking slots available but I noticed on line that there was a mobile service that could fit the tyres in my timeframe, at home, for the same price as a visit to a branch. Result!

Alas no. On the day (a Wednesday), I was ready to go at 8.30am but got a phone call at 2.00pm saying the tyres had not been delivered to the branch. I was away until the following Monday (today). The call centre said they would be fitted this morning. Alas no - same explanation, no tyres. As I write this they are due to be fitted tomorrow....

Its a great pity. All of my previous experience with Kwikfit (in branch) has been very positive. Moral of the story, I suppose, is to keep a proper check on tyre wear and book a visit to a branch before you get to the legal minimum.

Check and compare delivery costs first if you can.

I needed a small replacement part for a Flymo strimmer - I live a fair way away from any likely high street supplier so searched on line. I've used 4ourhouse before and my searches led me to this supplier again. Finding the part, placing my order and paying were all very straightforward, and the part arrived by Royal Mail as advised a few days later. My only (minor) reservation is that the cost of delivery caught me a little by surprise: it was nearly half the cost of the part! Its a little frustrating that delivery isn't revealed until you get to the check-out stage. Next time I would probably check to see if I can establish the likely cost of delivery before searching for a product. But overall I rate 4ourhouse very highly.

It works very well - but do ask a question if you can't find what you want.

I can't really find fault with PMT Online: the stock lines are logically set out so its easy to get to what you're looking for, there's usually helpful product info, prices are always competitive - often with a willingness to match if you find what you're looking for cheaper elsewhere, loading up the basket and checking out are straightforward. And if you're struggling there are on-line chats and a helpline available. I did once send an e-mail enquiry which was never answered but staff throughout the organisation seem knowledgeable, so get hold of them in real time if you've got a question.

eSpares has a wonderful offering - all those little things that everyone needs sooner or later. The product range is vast, customer help services are first class, the web site easy to navigate, and the tips on video are great! A very good experience

I didn't look closely at my on-line retailer's Terms and Conditions until it became necessary to return the item purchased (the retailer is an established high street brand). On viewing the CollectPlus web site, the fixed price quoted for return looked good value compared with my previous experience via the Post Office. From the web site I quickly found the nearest collection point, which was no less convenient to get to than the Post Office, paid for and printed the download label, wrapped up the return item and took it to the collection point which happened to be a small supermarket. There was only one customer in front of me, I was given a receipt for the parcel, job done! The real proof of success, however, was receiving from the retailer confirmation of receipt of the returned item and a commitment to provide a refund, only a couple of days later. A very good experience.
