Astonishing amount and quality of work

Astonishing amount and quality of work! We recently moved into a property with a coal-fired Aga, some radiators and night storage heaters.. very 19th century!
From my initial contact with Kurt, through delivery with Joanne and Ash we’ve now entered the 21st century with an air source heat pump with new and updated radiators throughout. New pressurised hot water has done wonders for water pressure and removed some noisy pumps. Work was very professional with an amazing amount of pipe work installed in the loft and everything left clean and tidy. Solar panels and battery to follow…..cannot fault technical capability or their work ethic.

Superb service!

We were moving from a full fibre, sky connected house to one with BT 20mb/s max and no sky - 2 redlines for our family!. Contacted Colin a few weeks before to see if he’d come out to Lincolnshire and do Starlink and Sky install. Sure, no problem was the standard reply to most questions. Arrived as planned, set about work, removing old dishes and tv aerials. By lunchtime we had Starlink and Sky installed and 300mb/s download.
A pleasure doing business with him and I’d recommend without a second thought.

Astonishingly good!

From start to finish, the team worked with enthusiasm, engagement and great teamwork. Despite the fact that they had to shuttle to the main van due restricted access, they packed and cleared the house and garage in 3 days (it’s a big house!). The arrived early at the new house, collected the keys on completion, so our main living space was pretty much done when we arrived. and were done by lunchtime on the second day.
Forget the caricature of regular tea breaks; though offered and sometimes made, they rarely stopped for a break. Hugely impressed and would use again in a heartbeat.

Quibble-free service!

Bought a 65" QLED TV in May 2021.
Started showing light brown blotches in the middle of the screen. Sent Hisense pictures.
1 day later, Hisense conclude that it's not repairable and provide "uplift code" to use with retailer for replacement.
70" QLED ordered.

Were really good - now terrible - suspect 5* reviews fake

We’ve used SGC for years and very happy - good plants delivered well.
However, the service and plants this year have been terrible. Don’t respond to messages, sent 9 plants which went straight onto the compost heap - dead or close to (how could anyone pack these?!)
We had 6 orders placed and paid for since the winter for “delivery by the end of may”
They haven’t turned up, so today raised 6 chargeback requests on the credit card - close to £200 in total.
Sorry, but you won’t be seeing me again.
The recent spate of 5* reviews are highly suspicious; I’d ask Trustpilot to review.

Don't be put off by negative reviews

I almost decided not to order, having seen the negative reviews, but my experience was excellent. I received the sample within 2-3 days and placed an order a week or so later. I paused when I saw the high delivery cost but then saw that many similar companies charge the same (I'm guessing its the weight). So make sure you order everything that you need in one order. The tiles (gloss black mosaic) were great and look good now they're in place. Great price (Victoria Plumbing charge 10 times the price!).
I didnt need to use customer service, so can't comment.
Would have been good to have notification of delivery - order just arrived. But great experience - will order again.

Avoid, avoid, avoid!

Truly awful company. Ordered air conditioning unit. Promised next day - took 3 days. Immediately obvious it was faulty (thermostat didn’t work) - called and emailed but no-one returned calls. Used credit card recharge to reclaim cost; Burfam had the nerve to challenge the judgement! Avoid, avoid, avoid…

Excellent product knowledge

Excellent product knowledge and customer service! I needed to replace a very heavy grinder pump which kept being jammed with wet wipes and was almost impossible to remove, unjam and replace.
Pre-sales Technical support suggested a KSB AMA 301. This is much smaller and lighter but does what it needs to do.
Arrived the following day, fitted and works perfectly.
Great understanding of my needs and product knowledge to suggest the best product solution.

1 star is my view, but here are the facts...

So.. cautious of recent ruling against someone being rude to a solicitor, this is a fact-based review.
We completed on our the sale of our late mother's house in late October - signed contract and transfer title. Taylor Emmet represented the buyer.
I checked Land Registry in mid January to find that Title was still in our mum's name - checked with LR, no backlog. Prompted buyer to prompt solicitor to effect the Title transfer. The same day, Taylor Emmet made a search on Land Registry.
Today (3 weeks later), I have an alert from LR that a change application is finally being made.
Taylor Emmet "claim" our solicitor was at fault - nah.. buyer's solicitor has the responsibility for following through..
If I hadn't checked, 90% chance no change would have been made.
1 star is my view, but I wasn't the direct client.
I'll let you make the judgement, based on the facts above.

Haven't received the product - not hopeful.

Sourced and delivered new car in 2 weeks!

I had been badly let down by another motor company which issued a recall on a new car that I had ordered. Decided to jump to full EV. James was great in getting a new e-Niro within 10 days. Carla handled all the details very professionally, kept me informed and did a great handover of my shiny new car :-)
My first Kia, but I'm sure I'll be back!

Great expertise and service

Great expertise and service! I ordered an EV so needed advice and installation. Emma and Robin were great - advising on the products and installing the charger the day my car arrived.
Being an old house, the installation had various "challenges" - but Robin was able to install the Ohme charger and added an extra circuit breaker (consumer unit was full).
Very knowledgeable, flexible and professional service!

I’ve dealt with many Estate Agents in my time, but none come close to WPS! Very responsive to calls and emails, great engagement with potential buyers. Superb local market knowledge, so able to value our house and describe it to appeal to local buyers.
Wonderful contacts to get some work done pre-sale.
Able to sell our house before it was formally placed on the market!

Brilliant service!

Brilliant service!. I had a "dead" ipod classic. Helpful Apple Genius said disk was corrupt but that they considered it obsolete so couldn't help. Ipod repairs fitted a new SSD disk and battery and returned the next day.
So good I'm going to send my broken ipad to them!

Good service! Needed to fix dishwasher door hinge. Found parts and video. Delivered next day. Only negative.. I really wanted to discuss parts after I received them but could get no-one to talk to..despite all the options taken. Ok, it’s an online service, but don’t offer a 7p/minute number if no-one answers!

Support your local Postie!

Since deregulation of postal services, we’ve seen the growth of courier services who(in rural areas) often don’t know where you live - no regular route drivers - or have too much to deliver. Your local Postie knows where you live, your safe place and the neighbours that can be trusted. Next Day service is always delivered. If only they’d expand to do Sunday deliveries...
But - the growth of corner shop Post Offices is much more variable. Many treat the PO counter as another till. Knowledge of products and rules is very variable and their security is woeful - onesuch local has their “door” wedged open and Mail sacks by the exit, open for thieving.

DPD lied and lied

DPD hit a new low today by lying to my face. I bought an item from Currys for next day delivery on Saturday. Sunday, I was delivery 17. Just after the app said "you're next", I got the "sorry, you weren't home" with a completely black picture of where the calling card has been left. Called Customer Service immediately to explain that he was clearly lost and he should call me to find our house - they said they'd ask him to call - never did.
This morning, app said "we've received your item at the depot". By 11.00 I suspected that they wouldn't deliver. At 11.30 i got the message "AT YOUR REQUEST, we have re-scheduled delivery for 2nd January". That is the bare faced lie. No courage to call me and say - "look, sorry, we're too busy and we're closed New Years Day, It'll be Wednesday now".
And the really funny thing is, when you call the customer service desk, you get a pre-recorded message from one of their Directors saying that they understand you may be frustrated but please don't abuse our staff! - Well, DPD that works both ways - don't abuse me by lying to me!.
My Postie doesn't lie to me, he knows where we live, where our safe place is and carrys on working until he's cleared all of his parcels and letters!

Great experience! - Recommend without hesitation

Great experience!. I had an issue with the charging port - either dirty or worn and had to "jiggle" the power cable to make contact. Sent to iMend, returned the next working day and it works like new. They'd also done some diagnostics on the battery.
Only issue was that they use UPS as a courier who failed to deliver next day as promised - but Customer Care team on it and aware of the issue.
Would definitely go to imend again!!
