Completely cra*p experience!

Completely cra*p experience!. Sent Monday for "next day delivery". Tuesday - claimed "mechanical failure" or "unexpected demand" - week after Black Friday - who could have guessed?!.
Due for delivery today (wednesday), but no time provided. SMS alerts never triggered. Claimed that delivery was attempted, no-one in. I've been in all day yesterday and today, so thats a Lie. Promised for Thursday. Arrived late afternoon (again, no SMS alerts). I asked the driver where he went yesterday, he said "Oh, I didn't attempt delivery - I just didn't have time".
I don't blame the driver - UPS load them up with too much to do.
Royal Mail next day delivery would have been more reliable. Rubbish

Excellent experience

Excellent experience. Discovered that the inverter on my solar panel had failed. Called on Sunday - not expecting and answer - and had a great discussion with Ben. Very knowledgable and provided 2 quotes the same day.

Very variable service

I’ve used Fone Angels several times. In the past, the service was good and customer engagement excellent. However, I’ve just had a battery replaced and it took 3 weeks! No-one answered the phone, responded to Facebook messages and slow/nil response to emails.
I decided to go to Fone angels rather than the “bloke in the high street” because of their expertise.
3 weeks for a battery replace? Mmmmmm.....don’t think I’ll be coming back.

Brilliant service!

Brilliant service!. I was asked by a Government Agency to provide Deed Poll from 1972. I'd long since lost it and found that they're not kept centrally.
Deed Poll Office provided exactly what I needed and it was accepted by the Government.

In a week Hermes have become liars

Until this week, I've been impressed with Hermes - local people who know where we live, safe place etc.
But this week they blew it by lying to me about us not being in, couldnt find the address, that there is no safe place blah blah blah
When i did a webchat they simply couldn't care and referred me back to the retailer.

Credit where it’s due....

Credit where it’s due - today...
Despite being told my delivery (due Tuesday) was being delivered to pick up point today, driver just delivered it to my home - in the dark and it’s snowing.
That’s because he’s been here before and he knows the route!
So what have we learned from that DPD? Route-focused drivers add value??

Btw, I’m expecting another delivery in the next few days - your choice DPD whether you get 1 or 5 stars...

black Friday demand - who knew?!

Apparently DPD have been taken by surprise by Black Friday demand..”who knew”...everyone else!!!
Royal Mail manage such issues.
So I paid for Next day delivery and it’s now going to be 3 days...
Truly awful

Poor, in so many ways....

I’ll start by saying that I feel for the drivers who get paid a pittance to deliver parcels.
However, DPD should use drivers who KNOW the route! Being rural, with satnav that’s not reliable, sending someone who’s never been here, in the dark, that’s never going to work. I’ve seen DPD drivers up to their axles in mud because they slavishly followed satnav - despite delivery instructions which say “don’t follow satnav”..most likely we get a “sorry you weren’t home” when we were.
Follow the example of Hermes - employ a team of knowledgeable, local drivers - or don’t bother at all.
#fail on so many occasions....

We have 3 dogs and have lots of experience of buying pet food both online and in retail stores. Monster are by far the best value and deliver the next day or two (ideal if, like me, you leave ordering to the last minute!).
