Excellent service and attention

We were greeted on arrival by Sara at the Cheltenham store. We were shown all the options and alternatives for each of the items we were considering, with Sara checking on products not currently available in store to check their status and prices. We were allowed to test items without any pressure, even taking one item outside to see how it worked in real life (uneven pavements etc). Her help and friendly advice could not be faulted. We will definitely go there again for anything we need (or on the nice to have wishlist).

Usual first class job - with a bonus?

As usual the operative did a thorough job. Having cleared the gutters of all the accumulated muck (this time half a bucket load) he then gave the gutters and soffits etc a thorough clean leaving them much cleaner and brighter than the next door neighbours! Additionally, this year, he spotted a problem with a bracket which had partially cracked. Although he couldn't fix it at the time at least I was made aware of it.

Everything was fine except …

Everything was fine except that the driver did not follow delivery instructions and left our parcel outside in the blazing sun instead of using the safe place defined in our account - and we were in the house anyway if he had waited for us to answer the door!

Quick and simple

It was easy to specify what I wanted and where I lived. Checkatrade then contacted their registered tradespeople who served our area. I just had to pick the best quote from those who bothered to reply - oh, and the company I chose did an excellent job so I wouldn't hesitate to use this route in the future.

Not an issue

Dishwasher failed. We had the extended Bosch warranty. Quick call to the store where we bought the machine and engineer was soon on the way. He was really thorough in going through the machine to find the fault. Parts ordered and fitted as soon as they arrived in store. Never questioned us at all about what had gone wrong (and were we to blame). He just got on with it. Excellent service.

Does this shop have the monopoly on good staff?

The staff at Gloucester are knowledgeable and friendly. I went with a bike problem. Initially met by a helpful Jackie and after explaining it she guided me to Tim. He knew exactly what the problem was - it wasn't what I thought! Tim did a superb job on the bike and it now goes really well. Also a mention to Rhys - a really friendly member of staff as well. They were all a pleasure to deal with and I can happily recommend the Gloucester Go Outdoors to anybody.

Praise is not enough

When I called, Nate (the agent) understood exactly what I wanted to be done. Job was booked there and then. Vitaliy, the technician, walked around the house when he arrived and knew what needed doing and also understood where I though there may be problems. Two hours later I had pristine gutters again and Vitaliy had checked over the problem areas and told me what the issues were - and now the gutters were clean they wouldn't reoccur. Really excellent individuals looked after my job from start to finish. Really can't praise them enough.

The courier drew attention to defect

Normally our couriers (all companies) just leave the goods in the covered porch, ring the bell and go. The courier, this time, stayed until I opened the door to draw attention to a defect in packaging on one of the parcels and advised to check the contents were OK as he wasn't sure they weren't loose and rattling around. (The goods were OK but he made sure I was aware).

Great service

Easy to report the fault using the app. Immediate response with estimated time of arrival, so I had an idea of how long I would have to wait. Received call from engineer when he left his previous job to tell me he was on his way and how long he expected to take. He knew exactly what was wrong, fixed it and had me on the road no problem.

Only one problem

Everything was great - once they knew where I was. I was away and in a location with no wifi access for auto location finder to work. Everything was geared to online - which isn't great with no wifi. Once I was able to find a local wifi hotspot I could connect to, everything happened very quickly.

Usual high quality of service. Even though ordered at a weekend the order was made up and ready for Royal Mail to pick up first thing Monday morning and delivered to me 08.15 on Tuesday.

Slight hiccup

As an existing customer we know the quality is first class. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is a mistake in the original order. The salesman put the wrong name of the item in the order - as it is text only at point of sale we didn't realise. The confirmation of order included a picture of the item. As soon as we saw it we knew it was wrong. We rang the store back and the salesman changed the order immediately. Unfortunately it does extend the delivery date somewhat compared to the original but that's because it was a popular item. We can understand how the mistake was made as we had narrowed choice down to two items. The salesman had checked availability on the first one and thought that was what we had decided to go with - but we had decided on the other one. There was absolutely no problem whatsoever with getting the order modified - done and dusted in a matter of minutes.
