I would give 0 stars if that was possible. I see others have had a similar experience. I booked a last minute hotel room in Sri Lanka for $347 without mention of taxes. On completing the purchase I was charged $604 without warning. Taxes should have been about $30. The extra $229 (nearly 100%) mark up was for made up 'occupancy taxes' and resort and 'other fees' and charges for compensation for their services for obscure reasons in small print at the bottom of the confirmation email. Hotel and govt get none of this. I checked with the hotel. They also made it look like I was booking directly with the hotel which had been my intention. I did not find out it was Agoda until I rang the hotel to investigate what had happened, Surely a scam to line Agoda's pockets? OUTRAGEOUS BEHAVIOUR. I want the bogus service charge back.

I thought hard about signing up. I’m fully subscribed to the science and benefits. So I decided to go down the personalised path. I’m waiting for my test results which I’m sure will be helpful and informative. However I didn’t like the sensor on my arm. It felt intrusive but the feedback on blood sugar was extraordinarily interesting. I got used to it. It stopped working on day 8. I found it impossible to get any assistance from the chat bot. What do I do? Did they have enough information already? Just some contact and reassurance. It said 2 hours then 2 days for a response. I still haven’t had one 5 days later. I took the sensor off. I then said I wanted to cancel and was told I would get a call back. Still nothing. I guess it doesn’t matter to them and their database but this is meant to be my personalised experience that I’ve signed up for. I’m still hopeful for my test results.

I rang in to check availability of a product I wanted to buy. It was very easy and seamless.

I stumbled on Rough Guides travel guide service by chance as I was struggling to organise a last minute two weeks away in Costa Rica for some much needed down time. I was introduced to Roberto Lizano from Elementonatural in San Jose who was on the spot and able to access availability that I could not online. He was attentive to my requests, a delight to deal with and kept in touch throughout my time there which was much appreciated as I was travelling alone. I really liked the fact that he was running his own local agency. I was very impressed by how seamlessly the whole trip was organised. I had nothing to worry about even when some details were finalised at the last minute. Roberto offered a highly competent and reassuring service delivered with a smile and a joke. I had a wonderful time in a relaxing and stunning country. The highlight for me was Drake Bay and Green Leaf. A remote spot with luxury, tapir, dolphins, whales, turtles and fabulous food. Highly recommended.

The delivery was incomplete and missing two items. Prompt response from customer service and a refund is being made. But dogs disappointed.
