no service from a service industry company

called in to open a new savings account yesterday. I was told there were no staff at the branch who could do that but if I have a smart phone she could talk me through the process. I don't work for Halifax, and therefore refuse to do their job for them. Took my money three doors along where they were most helpful. I would recommend staying clear of Halifax

Harassment

Harassment doesn't begin to describe my experience with Fox and Sons. I am not even using them to try and sell my house4, and yet they constantly call my mobile and land line. I have blocked several of their numbers - both head office and local (Rottingdean) office. However, yesterday, they turned yup on my door step !!! to hassle me again. Totally unacceptable harassing behaviour. Does that make me want to trust them with my house sale - NO - in fact it has the complete opposite effect.

a great brand for service and detail

We have just returned from a stay at Ikos Aria on the island of Kos. The staff there could not do enough for you - we even had our sunglasses cleaned on the beach - essential when you have two small grandchildren with you !! The brand is all about service and small details that make all the difference. Eg: the second row of sunbeds/umbrellas on the beach are staggered, so that you have an uninterrupted view of the sea. It is clear that the staff are well trained. The resort general manager enjoys interacting with the guests every day, and is happy to chat with everyone, which was lovely to see. Everywhere was clean and tidy with lovely garden spaces. The choice of bars, restaurants, pools, entertainment options are many and varied. I would highly recommend a stay at an Ikos resort (this is our second holiday with them). It is not a cheap holiday, but you do get what you pay for, and is well worth it.

Parcel left at my house when I had expressly requested delivery to a neighbour. They ignore the requests even though they bother to send you the options

Avoid Iberostar Grand Rose Hall

We stayed at Iberostar Grand Rose Hall, Montego Bay, Jamaica. We had issues every single day of our week long stay. Things that should have been sorted just weren't. Our holiday was more stressful trying to sort the issues, than our normal daily life. I was given the name of the hotel manager - Mr David Lopez, and had a conversation with him, whilst staying at the hotel. He gave me his e-mail address and asked me to write once I was home. He asked for concise details of all the issues we encountered. We did this nine days ago, but have never received a reply, let alone an acknowledgement that he has read our e-mail. I would avoid this company. They lie to make you go away, and do not deliver on their booking conditions. This was not a cheap option for us, and we feel we wasted the entire amount that we spent on the holiday.

What a fun and very informative tour

What a fun and very informative tour, with plenty of chances to take photos. On the drive to Mondsee we passed some beautiful scenery. There was lots of singing on the coach (only if you wanted to) which added to the "Sound of Music" atmosphere. Our guide David was excellent and real boff when it came all things Sound of Music. Well worth doing

I requested a clean of my Mum's carpets before she returned from hospital. Adam was able to accommodate the day we needed it done, and made the carpets really shine. He and Kai were professional throughout, efficient and friendly. I could not have asked for more. I would highly recommend this company to anyone

Incompetent service

The people who delivered the item didn't know how to collect the water supply, and told me to call a plumber. They could get the water supply to run. The reason being, the doors weren't closed, due to packaging not being removed. All three of them had a very poor grasp of English.

ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE ONCE YOU HAVE PAID IN FULL

I have been trying to book seats on the plane for both legs to and from our cruise terminal. However, despite paying the full cost of the trip over two months ago, Iglu have failed to issue an e-ticket with BA, and this lack of money transfer to BA, will not allow us to book our seats. Iglu tell me a different answer each time I call, and it takes forever for them to answer their phones before I even speak to anybody. The web chat is equally as poor, as it is just so easy to hide behind the internet. This company has no customer service at all, and you bang your head against a brick wall. They just don't care. I will not be booking with them again, and I suggest others do the same.

as bad as others have already said

As previous reviews, this company just do not deliver the service they offer. I ordered something on 24th Feb, and have today requested a refund. Why do we not read reviews before we order !! I actually spoke to somebody in head office to avoid not getting a response by e-mail. Please do not use this company, they are a complete waste of time

Viewing the night sky through a telescope from your own garden

This was a fantastic tour of the night sky by a very knowledgable astronomer. Our astronomer Nick brought a telescope to our garden. As novices, we found everything easy to follow and understand. We were taught how to identify and find stars in the night sky, and were able to view them through the telescope, using a variety of lenses for different amounts of detail. For example, we saw the storm bands on Jupiter, and the rings of Saturn. During the two hours, we saw another galaxy that is close to our own Milky Way, a dead star, planets, clusters, binary stars and so much more. Nick was enthusiastic, and generous with imparting details and information on the stars, which made the evening really good fun. We were able to choose an evening to suit us, and the company are very conscious of weather restrictions, and make it easy to change the booking date, so that you get the best from your experience. We happened to choose a very clear sky which made the experience all the better. I would highly recommend this experience to any budding star gazer, as the guides are professional and experienced, but make it easy to understand.

Titanic exhibition, London - a disappointment

Recently attended the Titanic exhibition in Docklands London. I did learn things from this exhibition, but there was quite a lot wrong with the whole experience. Despite previous reviews on Tripadvisor (at least 6) stating that the commentary contained incorrect pronunciation of every day words eg:- Cunard pronounced "Cunnard", maritime pronounced "marriteem", Nova Scotia pronounced "Nova Scottia" and bow (of a ship) pronounced "boe", these things have still not been rectified. The commentary was very aggravating because of this. The exhibition largely contained enlarged photographs of crew and passengers, and their stories, and very few artefacts. The artefacts that were present, were largely from another White Star ship called the "Olympic". Style over substance sadly. I know that the ship is at the bottom of a very deep ocean, but there are plenty of items from the survivors that could have been displayed. When we downloaded the exhibition app, and it didn't work very well, we were told that it's an Apple thing, and the app works better on other makes of phone. I would say the majority of people probably have an Apple I-phone, so a poor excuse. It was a sobering afternoon, but I would not recommend purchasing tickets

Never any dramas, never any need to e-mail a faceless office on the other side of the world. It's great to have a local company with a local businessman making things happen for his customers - what's not to like

I have recently set up for Jerry to deliver milk to my elderly Mum. The process could not have been easier, and as I could speak with Jerry directly, everything just fell into place straight away. We booked a sunset tour of the Temples…

We booked a sunset tour of the Temples of Angkor. Firstly there was a mix up with the communication about pick-up time. After contacting our travel agent, this was sorted out. We were picked up at 8am and taken on a very good tour of Bayon Temple, Ta Phrom and the leper's building, before a good Cambodian lunch. After lunch we were taken to Angkor Wat. The tour finished at 2.30pm. We asked if we were being taken back to the hotel for a later pick-up to be taken back to see the sunset over Angkor Wat. We were told "no, if your want to see the sunset, you wait here for 3 and half hours in the heat". This was not the itinerary that was promised. Lazy guide (Dom) and driver did not want to fulfil their obligations. I would not use them again. We did not complain at the time, as we had an airport transfer two days later with the same driver, and could not afford to miss our flight. You only go to these epic places once, and you should be pleased with the tour that you purchase.
