Not fit for purpose and shocking customer service

I purchased a pair of shoes on 15th May 2025, by 26th June the heel had fallen off. These were formal shoes marketed as workwear. I complained to customer services who replied that based on images sent that they had 'extended' wear. This is unacceptable since they have only been worn for work during that time and I had a weeks holiday in between! They are clearly not adhering to Consumer Rights Act and I will be doing a section 75 charge back with my bank if they do not offer a refund. Terrible customer service. AVOID

Really helpful delivery staff

Really helpful delivery staff, arrived on time and phoned ahead to confirm that they’d be there as scheduled.
Once they arrived, they brought the large package into the house and were really helpful. Would recommend.

Not for me I’m afraid

Unfortunately the Stinky Skin Stuff does not agree with my skin. The product has burned my skin, leaving it red raw, itchy and like it’s on fire.

I’m a psoriasis sufferer and thought this may be my miracle remedy based on reviews but sadly not the case

Update: I’m not happy with the Stinky Stuff reply, implying I’m not being truthful. I’ve already contacted customer service by email and they haven’t responded as yet. I’ve also had to contact my GP due to the extreme reaction I’ve had to the cream.

Outstanding service

I’ve been with Churchill a few years and this year the premium seemed to have gone up tremendously. I got other quotes which they matched. Not a great saving but they were fair.
Roll forward 2 months and my car was stolen at the weekend. All I can say was how good the claims team were. I have already been offered a very good settlement on my cars value which will be paid in 7 days. Meaning the claim will have been resolved in less than two weeks. Fantastic service - will continue to use Churchill in future.

As a previous Bulb customer, I was transferred to Octopus automatically. I am so happy with their service.
I find Octopus very transparent and easy to understand in the current complex world of energy.

The app is easy to navigate and bills are clear. I’ve just transferred to their loyal customer fixed tariff - decision helped by using Martin Lewis new tariff calculator. Octopus are my first choice.

What a great service

What a great, straightforward process of selling my iphone. Got a good valuation online, took it to a kiosk drop off point and the phone was assessed. True to their valuation, I was paid exactly what they said and it was instantly in my account. Couldn’t fault the service.

Fantastic and speedy service

Fantastic and speedy service. Uploaded photos of the car using the specific instructions from Motorway, they were then inspected and the reserve price adjusted slightly but fairly in my opinion. The car went into the sale the next day and the reserve was achieved. The car was collected within a few days by the dealer who settled finance and paid the difference into my bank account.
The whole experience was smooth, efficient and fair. Motorways reserve was more than competitors and fair. I would use them again and I recommend them without hesitation.

Having read the past other reviews regarding Wilko’s online service AFTER I’d received mine, I’m a bit taken aback as my experience was very positive. My order arrived ahead of time, goods were very good quality and I’m very satisfied. Shame to hear that the customer service isn’t great, thankfully I haven’t had to contact them. Item ordered was ok but the gift wrapping I paid for was total rubbish especially at the cost of £4.95! I would recommend to anyone not to bother. I raised this with customer service but they were firm that they would not issue a refund.

Tacky and terrible quality gift wrapping

The product was fine however I paid an extra £4.95 to have it wrapped in white wrapping and a satin bow... what a joke! The wrapping paper was white parcel paper And the ‘satin’ bow was awful! No satin in sight. I requested a refund but was told ‘as it is shown on the website no refund will be made’. The quality does not reflect the image on the website. Total ripoff. I had to wrap again - do NOT buy gift wrapping, it’s appalling.

Very happy customer

We ordered over the telephone with the Wickford store, after having a query with a rattan garden set. The store assistant was helpful and polite, advising that stock would be available in a couple of weeks.

The set came into stock ahead of time and the delivery company were polite and efficient- ringing an hour ahead of the delivery time.

Rattan set is great and of high quality.

Overall totally recommend product and Whitestores!

Faux wooden blinds- excellent service and quality

Ordered 5 made to measure faux wood blinds for large bay window- delivery updates were sent regularly and within timeframe promised. Quality of blinds are fantastic, you'd never know that they are not wood. I'm going to order the same again for my other bay window. I'd highly recommend this company
