Ok product - not so much fun to return ...
We saw the Octasmart essential toppers advertised in a recent TV campaign and thought we'd give them a try - we use single mattresses in a super king set up so we got one of each. I got one because I was sold on the airflow helping to keep you cool, my husband for the memory foam soft comfort. They took a while to settle having been vacuum packed and folded and then rolled, but once they had the overall quality was ok. However neither my husband nor I found they lived up to the promises in the ads, I found it too hot, and he didn't find any benefit from either over and above his current topper, fair enough they're not for everyone. So we decided to exercise our right to return under the 60 night sleep trial. And this is why they get two stars. The customer service operative was very polite and nice, but it was very clear they did not want us to return the toppers, claiming we needed to keep them at least 40 nights before we would really feel the benefit, perhaps, but I didn't think the heat issue was going to go away, so she accepted that, and then asked if perhaps I wanted to exchange them for an upgraded topper - no thank you, I just want to return them. Reluctantly that was accepted and I was then told how to go about that. They had to be returned in their plastic packaging and their original box. Hmmm, this is where it got interesting, the toppers arrived vacuum packed in plastic that is then heat sealed together to keep them rolled, and it's all rolled into the topper - you can't keep the plastic intact and get the topper out and it's not exactly obvious that if you want to return them, you need to keep the plastic. So I had to purchase some mattress protectors and hope they accept its not the original plastic. Then the really fun part, getting the toppers into the box, they have to be folded and rolled - boy was that fun - NOT - we've managed it but we are now both exhausted and feel like we've been in a wrestling bout. We also now have to source a courier service to get them returned at our expense which we did know we would, but it's not helped our experience overall. So by all means give them a go, you may love this topper and good for you if you do, but beware if you don't!
Also still waiting for our refund - we used Klarna and made the first payment on ordering - courier shows returned to Dormeo on 18th June - it's now 29th June and no word from Dormeo confirming the returns and no sign of any refund from Klarna. I'm sure it will all be fine, but now I have to spend time chasing it up and I shouldn't really have to!
