false advertising, isn't compatible with my laptop after just one year

Bought a printer a year ago, which worked sort of for a year, then I am told it is no longer compatible with my chromebook, which it was when i bought it. Tough luck to me, they told me to print from an app on my phone! Its impossible when printing parts of complex documents to see the pages clearly on my phone so not really a solution. Its wrong advertising to sell me a printer that works with something and then suddenly it doesn't just a year later. I would avoid this company I will never buy anything from them again

App faults, absolute time waster

App doesn't work, halfway through putting things in the basket it asked for an update via google play, I had to go through that then it couldn't remember my details so I had to password reset, then I went through all that and it then said it is experiencing technical issues. I ended up buying everything on Amazon - trying to buy things on Boots wasted half an hour of my precious time. They may have a good product range but technically their platform is absolute rubbish

Terrible streaming

Terrible streaming, it buffers constantly, so its an erratic experience. It's not my internet connection because Netflix works perfectly and all the other channels I use. They have some fantastic content but can't seem to sort their streaming platform out. I actually got this service as a partnership with Lloyds bank, but I can't see how I would want to pay for it when the 12 months free trial is up with such poor quality streaming.

I forgot my password

I forgot my password, I used the online chat which directed me to an email address for help to reset and had it done within minutes. Super speedy and slick operation, if only ever company operated like this!

Worst service in the world

I bought two items, separately, so they did not qualify for free delivery. I paid for delivery for each item and they then shipped them together. Can you get hold of Amazon to get a refund for one of the delivery costs? No, absolutely not, its a farce trying to get hold of them. Worst customer service in the world

Extremely bad service

I bought a cigarette case, the hinge was not good quality and soon started to come apart (within a few weeks). I sent a photo of the hinge, sent the case back, was then told they didn't receive the case despite my having proof of delivery. They finally promised a refund, including of the return postage I paid. I have called and emailed multiple times and had no response. Very bad service, I will be raising a claim against them with my card company.

Shocking boiler

Shocking boiler, I am a tenant and my landlord put in a Biasi Advance 25C, big mistake. After 4 months the pcb needed replacing, after another 5 months the pcb and fan both need replacing. While under warranty currently, at some point it won't be and they will be forking out hand over fist for repairs. Not to mention my time taken up with waiting for the engineers to come, trying to communicate with the company, parts are never available and seem to take ages to turn up. It is false economy putting in a cheap boiler like this. I will move out of the property based on this boiler as my time is worth a lot more than my landlord seems to think it is!

Bad service drops to new lows over Covid

I wrote a review about their terrible service when I moved in (January 2020), they are good on the sales side when you view and go to contract but after that the flaws become glaring.

Since Covid, I was furloughed in April and I wrote them three times to see if I could get a reduction (they manage the property). Well eventually after a few months had passed, I wrote my landlord directly and she was appalled as well that they had not been in touch. I finally heard from them but it was too late, I had paid the full amount for that period, so they came up with some adjusted amounts to reflect that. I decided to carry on paying the full amount for 4 months, and then heard two days ago that they had not paid the full amount to my landlord, but instead had paid her the adjusted amounts. It was now up to me to PROVE I had paid the full rent - don't they reconcile their bank statements?

I knew when Covid hit us that the service standards from them would drop even further, and I literally prayed nothing would go wrong because the standards were already low. How can they justify taking management fees when not providing an actual service? I would warn all tenants and landlords to avoid this company, they let both sides down. I am pretty sure they are in breach of contract over a few other things and have advised my landlord accordingly so she can get back the fees she has paid.

I will never ever rent from them again, if I see a property I like in the future that is listed through them I will find out who owns it and approach the landlord directly with an offer. It is a shame they ruin so many people's experience of renting and cause so much unnecessary stress, it is difficult to see how they continue to do business but they are part of a bigger group and have some power in the market - not for long, they may end up a Covid victim and no one will be sorry that the business goes to other more ethical and responsible agents who actually want to help people not just take money for nothing
