Excellent every time!

I've ordered a few things from Data Discs (and a few second hand over the years) and every time I have, they have been brilliant.

This is truly one of the few good companies that sell specialist products to gaming and music fans. The pricing is spot on, with products that aren't inflated to a premium because of a different colour, everything is very reasonable.

Secondly, when a product sells out of the initial run, it is further supported (based on demand) with standard variants. Which is a far cry better than almost all other limited run pressing companies that sell high, not give you much for your money or withhold desired licensed goods in a bid to boost scarcity.

In addition, the quality of the goods are fantastic. Excellent pressings on Vinyl, using recordings at the best possible standard with the sanction of original composers and their masters.

I'll be a customer forever at this rate, my only bug bear is that I didn't start collecting their records early enough. I look forward to many more great products down the line.

Cancels orders without reason or notification

Edit: as 365games has responded, I'm updating the review to highlight more dishonesty. I have not received a discount code as suggested in their response. I would imagine that it went to the same place that the initial cancellation email went, which was certainly not my email inbox.

Purchased a number of vinyl records in the boxing day sale, all were priced individually and fairly. I ordered these on the 29th of December. However, after receiving no notification of dispatch, i checked my account and found that there has been a cancellation of one of the orders, without reasoning.

I say one of the orders as i have made an order prior to this, which for some reason is not showing in my account, so i could not tell you what the status is.

all of this with no communication from 365games, no email notifying me of the issue, no reason why and most importantly, nothing in paypal suggesting that the order has been cancelled or refunded.

I would like a response from the company as to why this order has been cancelled and what they intend to do about the order that me and many others have been stung on. This is not an insignificant amount of money at this time of year, so this needs to be rectified fast.

I will not be recommending this website to anyone, despite making successful purchases in the past. With this order, 365games have proven they are not a reliable or honest business.

I am terribly sorry of the trouble that you had with your recent orders with ended in us having to cancel and refund both of them for you.

I can confirm an email was sent to yourself on the 29th of December at 14:39 explaining that exact issue - there is no undelivered notice on the email so this was received in your inbox, it may be in your spam folder.

In reference to only seeing one order in your account, this is due to the second order being placed under a guest checkout - this is why you cannot see both orders in your account.

In relation to the reason your orders have been cancelled.

Our daily price update tool experienced a technical glitch during the same time our prices updated, which created a bug in our system and showed the incorrect purchase price. When the error was picked up by staff, all customers who placed orders were immediately contacted to advise of the issue with a full refund including any postage charges.

As a result of a technical glitch, you were able to purchase a product that was not ever available at the price shown which was immediately refunded by us, nothing was shipped out or expected to be returned.

We are very sorry for any inconvenience and have offered a unique discount code by way of apology, we are sincerely sorry for this experience and have instigated a full IT review as a result to ensure this issue does not happen again.

Review of Sonic Direct

Slight issue, but taken care of.

Purchased an LG Tumble Dryer after doing some research for the best heat pump dryer for my price point. Sonic Direct came up trumps thanks to a Black Friday discount voucher.

Delivery didn't go so smooth however, We were booked in and the delivery was timely, however they loaded the wrong dryer onto the van. Was told that we would receive a call later that day for a revised slot. However, when this came, we were told the dryer wasn't in stock and i would need to contact SonicDirect for info on when the next one would be available.

I called in and it seems there was a communication issue, as the dryer was in fact in stock and that it would be sent out to me. I requested next day delivery due to the issue and was told that they would try their best.

The next day came and so did the dryer. This is why there are 4 stars against the review and not three which i would usually do. The CS team saved the day here and it is clear they did everything to keep us happy on this one. Good stuff.

The dryer is great by the way. Wife is happy and that makes me happy.

Okay buying experience, but the company willfully damaged the cels before sending.

This is a late review, I purchased from Animation Legends back in 2021 when I saw that they had a deal on Sonic animation cels. I often wondered whether I should leave one. But after a year of owning these cels and remembering this whole thing, I decided to share my thoughts

At first I was sceptical, we have all seen the simpsons episode where bart buys an itchy and scratchy animation cel, only to receive a floating arm in the mail as opposed to a full itchy or scratchy cartoon.

With this, I emailed the company beforehand asking whether this would be a possibility. To my surprise, they came back quickly, showed me a sample of the cels I could receive and even said I could have the ones in the image, if I placed an order. The cels were great, full characters with a good mixture of the big and small ones for good measure, not stellar stuff that anyone would remember, but decent enough to frame and call your own. So with this I accepted.

When receiving the cels there was a big flaw. I received the ones I saw in the email and some other decent ones, so was happy with those. However, the white paper that was under the ones in the image I saw with production sketches of key frames were missing. These pieces of paper contained sketches which showed either the same animation frame or the next frame in sequence, so these had unique artwork relevant to the art that was on the cel. They had clearly been removed, in some cases with little care, leaving bits of paper and damage to the fragile paint of the cel.

When I messaged back to ask why, I was told that people were complaining that they came stuck to paper and were being removed to combat these complaints.

The problem is this. The company claims to care about animation history yet has willfully destroyed a good part of it. The cels are the main feature, however these production sketches are also one of a kind and a big part of the appeal of buying these products.

Now these cels feel incomplete. I was never given the choice as to whether I wanted to keep the paper with sketches or not and what is worse is that I have since seen similar sketches being sold separately on their website, leading me to believe that they are profiting twice of artwork which I really should have in my possession right now. Art of my buying decision was based on some youtube reviews which had these intact. But, it seems that this is only the case for youtubers.

Either they were sold for extra profit or they have been thrown in the rubbish. Whichever way you look at it, it's a waste and not a business practise I can get behind.

Faultless.

Used West Yorkshire money for my upcoming first time purchase. Adele was brilliant, very insightful and recommended products that were relevant and well priced. She also managed to get me a good discount on solicitor services, which i would have spent much more on without the knowledge.

Would definitely recommend West Yorkshire Money and by extension, Adele's services as you get piece of mind and quick, efficient brokerage.

Initially abysmal, but got there in the end.

Tried to contact Virgin Media as my welcome contract was due to end in July and i wanted to downgrade to get rid of my TV and Phone package which i never use.

I tried to get in contact via the live chat option on their website when it would not show me package offers. When trying the live chat service i was met with a robot service message that simply refused to put me in touch with anyone that could help.

I then went onto twitter and asked for help there, they sent me a mobile number to text for assistance, no answer.

Since receiving that number i have been offered no assistance, not being acknowledged in any way whatsoever.

Of course, after getting the new bill through for the additional rate, i suddenly get a flood of offers to upgrade my service to more expensive options.

The broadband service (which i remind, was the only part of my package that i used in the end) hasn't even been great, it has forced me to return to my office due to the unreliability of the service at home, this is despite being on a tariff which should grant me 200mbps.

The router is awful and does not reach my house, despite the first couple of weeks being somewhat promising and i have little to show for it now other than being charged for services that i am not using and have tried to reduce, only to be met with silence.

The worst part is, i would have absolutely been fine with staying with virgin for the time being, if they had offered support which is supposedly their customer promise when i needed it. Now, they have proven that they do not want to live up to this.

If you read this after seeing a tariff that you think is too good to be true, it is. Things are great when they work but if you ever need help then expect painful silence as that is truly all that Virgin will ever offer in the end.

EDIT: UPGRADED TO 3 STARS = Finally got through to someone at Virgin and while i spent a good amount of time on the phone, i was able to speak to Madison in Retentions. She was great and walked me through a deal which kept me at my current internet speed, tv and phone package for only £5 more than i am paying now as opposed to the £32 increase. She also assisted me by retroactively refunding the extra i paid (to come off in the next payment) AND helped me with my wireless router which was i was having issues with. She was able to diagnose a fault, send me one out within days and completely transform about how i was feeling about Virgin as a business. Great job on Madison's part. I just wish this could have all happened sooner.

Quick response after burglary attempt

Spoke to my estate agent after a burglary at 9am and the gentleman at easypickings was out within 30 minutes. Cant fault a response time like that. New anti snap locks fitted and provided some valuable security advice for the future. Will use again for sure!

Great, unorthodox service!

I purchased the LG 32GK850-B monitor from Overclockers and everything was incredibly smooth and efficient.

First of all, i had reservations with ordering a monitor after a bad experience with another retailer/ manufacturer that left me 2 months without a working display, however i went on to the Overclockers forums for advice and the guys on there were great. OCUK has always had this reputation as a community first, retailer second and it shows.

The only thing i would have liked is a live chat service beforehand to answer some quick questions, but the forum guys are pretty attentive and it didn't take me long to work out that the product was perfect for my needs.

Here's looking to many years ahead with this thing and future custom with OCUK :)

VR Ready Deal

Ordered a desktop PC with Cyberpower early June, made a couple of adjustments to the VR ready deal that they had going that came with a bundle of freebies.

For those interested the specs are

Corsair Carbide 600c case (I had this switched from the In-Win)
I7-7700k Processor 4.2ghz unlocked
Nvidia GTX 1070
16gb DDR4 ram which was upgraded to 3000mhz as part of the Spring Deal
250gb SSD
2TB 7200rpm mechanical.

Was very happy with the price and the included freebies of £20 steam vouchers, ghost recon wildlands, mechanical keyboard, mouse mat and others.

The PC arrived in perfect condition with no bumps or bruises from the cheapest shipping option, cables appear nice and tidy and has plenty of room left for expansion which is nice as I didn't pay for the extra cable management extra.

Overall very pleased, the staff were helpful all of the way, particularly when I was picking a different case as I wanted an optical drive bay that the original car did not provide. The rig is great for what I need which is excellent frame rates on full 1080p gaming with plenty of room for 1440p and even baseline 4K performance if I upgrade my monitor!

I would definitely recommend Cyberpower to others, especially when they have promotions on.

Also, to people in the UK, I was also wary of poor reviews that I had read online, these are based on the US Cyberpower which is a case of same name but essentially a different company. The UK team are great at what they do and I feel justified in choosing them for this build.

Brilliant service as described

Ordered a copy of Dying Light as a birthday present and it arrived quickly and efficiently. The Game Collection have been one of the stores that i haven't really used as such before but have often engaged with via social media, having had a great experience and checking the prices i will likely use their services more in the future.
