I am very sorry to hear that you have not found the socks and gloves to be as expected.
The socks and gloves will work best if you warm up your feet and hands prior to wearing them. This allows the silver threads to reflect the heat and stop your warmth from escaping.
Unfortunately, if your hands and feet are cold or cool before you put the socks and gloves on, then it is likely that they will stay cool, because there is no heat to reflect.
