Awful customer service AVOID
Awful customer service. I had high hopes after my initial online chat that was quickly dashed.
I’ve had my insurance 18 days but have had to change my car, couldn’t do this online, couldn’t do this via chat had to wait for a call back. Waited and waited. Checked again, was told yes I’d get a call back. Waited. Checked again to be told this can take 24 hours, no one saw fit to say this at any other time?
My phone rang and rang straight off, claimed it went to voicemail, my voicemail is deactivated but their response was ‘all 07 numbers have a voicemail’.
Eventually I get a call back, bearing in mind I’d been waiting in to get insurance sorted as I didn’t want to drive illegally!
My current insurer can’t insure my new car - no real reason given why - I am now quoted over £300 more!
In the meantime I’d gone online and OneCalls best quote was just over £400, compared to over £700 they are quoting on the phone.
They can’t match that apparently, I can pay over the odds or cancel, I opt to cancel.
Beware of cancellation fees. Admin fees. I’m definitely in the wrong job. Over £150 to pay.
So I paid deposit plus one months insurance, then I have this on top….for 18 days insurance.
The call centre staff clearly do not care, their customer service skills are shocking.
I just feel so ripped off and feel like I wasted my time being mucked around by them.
I had my car and my house insured with onecall, not anymore. Buyer beware!!!!
