Sale of house fell through
The Sale of my parents house fell through as ASG refused any option of buying out of their lease on the roof. The incoming buyer wanted to extend, hence the need of a lease buy out option. 100% self interest by ASG.

Dear Mr Pascoe
It is most disappointing to receive your negative feedback when we have been in dialogue with you regarding your situation and we have offered you an exit option, but this has been declined (permanent removal of the system without reimbursement to the system owner is not possible – this would be a breach of the Lease).
The solar system at your property is such an incredibly high valued, green, free resource that is capturing and supplying an essential and very expensive commodity into your home on a daily basis, completely free of charge. This should be an attractive and desired aspect and selling point for any property and more and more homes are being sold with them installed (possible savings could exceed £900 a year on electricity costs!)
We often work with Landlords who wish to extend their properties but this has not been explored either. We have informed you, if your priority is to progress the sale of the property, we are willing to engage constructively to explore lawful options that might assist, for example, confirming the Lease position in writing for prospective purchasers, supplying copy documents relating to the installation and answering any questions raised by the Solicitors.
To help with future marketing, we would recommend that your Estate Agent clearly advertises the property as being subject to a registered solar panel Lease and the benefits that this brings – free maintenance, free insurance, free electricity for the entire term. This ensures that only genuinely interested buyers progress and avoids unnecessary disappointment later in the process.
You may be frustrated with the situation but the homeowner entered into the Lease agreement freely and has enjoyed the benefits of it for the past 15 years (that could be savings over £13,000 in free electricity since installation), we have given you the value of the system to buy it out, and permanently remove the system, but you have declined. We are unable to offer any alternative. The system is free whilst in operation and generating, but not when it is removed.
If your Estate Agents, Buyers or Solicitors have any questions, they are very welcome to contact us directly and, with your authorisation, we will be pleased to clarify any aspect of the Lease or the system with them.
Kind regards
