BBC you are required to report the news…

BBC you are required to report the news honestly and without bias or favour. You have failed miserably with respect to Soldier F. You take our money to provide this service. You are in breach of contract and are not fit for purpose. To take any more license fee would be theft and you should be prosecuted if you attempt it. You disgust me and make me ashamed to be British.

It's when things go wrong.

As the title says - what happens when things go wrong. Most companies can achieve making a delivery of the goods. End of story. However, it is how a company handles itself when there are problems which sorts out the men from the boys.
When you first log onto the web page, you have the option to tailor YOUR system the way YOU want it. The only interference by PC Specialist is to check the compatability of your choices. You can adjust, swap and change to your hearts content, knowing that behind the scenes your choices are being monitored for silly mistakes. My only suggestion is that it would be nice to see a price beside each optional item at the time of selecting it. A minor detail as the total price is shown at the compilation stage.
With regard to delivery times. They are realistic, but I'm sure they must have had my computer assembled, packed and labelled before I even ordered it, they were so fast. They use an excellent courier company. One of the few that I have never had a complaint about. In fact it is a sigh of relief when you see who they use.(DPD of course)
Now comes the real test. On opening the packaging, it is noticed that a cct board is loose and not seated correctly. This is corrected and the system started up. Problems, so phone the company. This is Sat morning. The gentleman who responds could not be more helpful or apologetic for the problem.( I just wish he wasn't a Leeds supporter.) After talking through the problem with me (and NOT talking to me as if I were an idiot.) it is agreed the best way to resolve the problem is to send out a replacement graphics card. No waiting for me to return the old one for checking, but the courier will take the old one back when delivering the replacement one. Problem solved with minimum disruption.
As the title says, it's when things go wrong, when the customer is frustrated because it doesn't work, when I want it working NOW!!. That's when you really see what a company thinks of it's customers, and what it is willing to do for them. That's when it matters. Things can and do go wrong sometimes - it's called life. It's how it is dealt with that matters.
This is not my first time using PC Specialist, and it will not be the last. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone, and often do so.

Road-runner watch out !!

My order was delivered at my door less than 24hrs after the order was placed. Brilliant, I know where I'll be looking when I want something in a rush.
