Updating Fixed Deals

The ease with which I was able to change my fixed deal was outstanding.

Prior to the current deal expiring, I was contacted and given details of upcoming deals.

I selected the deal I wanted and without any further effort on my part, the deal became effective on the date my current deal expired.

Much Better Customer Service

Further to my critical review I would like to update following actions taken by Sainburys.

I visited the store today and approached Customer Services. I was given information to contact Head Office.

Having made contact on at least 6 occasions regarding the stealing of my Nectar points and received no satisfaction, this time action was taken to provide a voucher to enable me to use on my next online order. In addition some compensation was given.

I then received a note from Sainsburys requesting some details to improve the situation further.

MY only intention in posting what was a factual account of a very frustrating event, was to highlight a technical problem with the online ordering system that will definitely cause other customers to have cause for complaint.

The Sainsbury system for contact to report a problem is so similar to that employed by BT. You go round and round and get nowhere. Fortunately BT have greatly improved and I hope Sainsbury can make similar changes.

Outstanding Service

Having explained that I would run out on Monday, the person I spoke to said she would investigate expediting my delivery.
At first an email confirmed delivery Wednesday, but a further email confirmed delivery between 14.04 and 16.04 Tuesday.
Delivery was made shortly after 14.00

Have Confidence in Excellent Plants

The order was processed speedily.

Plants are as described and excellent.

Communications are good.

Please be aware there is a SCAM linked to DX Express. The packages were delivered to my doorstep, yet I received 3 emails saying they were unable to deliver and to click a link to rearrange.

Top Quality Product and Experience

Ordering on website was easy - logical to follow.

Contact with office to establish when delivery would be made was efficient and I was advised to call after 0800 on the day of delivery to determine time of delivery.

Delivery was excellent. I wanted the bag of topsoil as near the house as possible. The driver was very helpful and the extending arm (8 metres) placed the bag in an ideal place.

Topsoil looks very good - now need the weather to co-operate.

Plants Excellent but Delivery Needs to Improve

I have had few problems with Gardening Express and have confidence ordering plants from them that are excellent value.
The delivery service from DX has not been satisfactory. On one occasion plants were not left in a safe place but in full view of passers by - I was at home at the time.
Latest delivery gave a time on August 7 and I waited in - nothing. I complained to DX who did not seem concerned. Plants arrived August 8.

One of the Suppliers I go to first.

Plants are excellent at great prices.

Packaging is excellent and plants arrive undamaged in most cases, with only very minor exceptions.

When an occasional problem occurs it would be good to be able to email the concern. Communication in this area is not good. No problems withis shipment.
