The Barracks is a large, character Cotswold House in the picturesque village of Aldsworth. Very well-proportioned for up to 6 guests with a modern and quirky feel to the place. Large gardens which I imagine would be ideal in the summer months for younger members of the family. Loved the quietness (Aldsworth is set back from the main road to Bibery). Just wish we could have stayed longer but a very good experience from my first Bolthole Retreats booking!

Huge plaudits to Nikolas and Sofia who were our guides on this Pub Crawl. Genuinely lovely people and Nikolas in particular couldn’t have been more helpful. Took us to some excellent bars and went out of his way to be as informative about Serbia/Belgrade as possible. He had such a good time that he joined us for the rest of the evening and took us to a quality restaurant. Really made the lads’ week-end to be honest. Ordered a chest freezer, got the very prompt messaging from dxdelivery regarding delivery process and the requirement to be at home for the time-slot allocated. Had first text message stating a 1205-1405 delivery, next message approx 12 hrs later delaying to 1430-1630 - no problem, I had enough notice to rearrange commitments. Actually arrived 0945hrs! Fortunately, I was at home in a conference call but if you’re going to arrange specific 2-hr time-slots, you have to stick to them.

Had to contact TR after the booking as only one of the rooms had appeared on my bill (had booked two). Resolved in very short order by attentive and genuinely concerned staff. Very good experience and would use TR again (particularly since the price was so good).
