At a certain age a girlie shopping day tends to focus on comfy shoes and a potter through a cook shop lured in by shiny pans and gadgets that never existed in our youthful cooking days.
The staff at The Outlet, Banbridge, understand customers. Offering help then leaving us to happily dither over choosing helpful things/stocking fillers. They were friendly and chatty, which is our local way, although craic as essential to selling is so often frowned upon by by big non-Irish companies

A summer storm devastated the parasol and its base (it was some wind!). When the sun came out again, we needed a new one, urgently.
Searched online for local suppliers and found Eurogarden and Home, which we've driven past often enough. Found what we wanted and pondered how we'd manage to collect the stuff....then, oh joy, we discovered the online catalogue and the delivery service.
Problem solved!

Comfortable surroundings and an empathetic audiologist made me confident that I would get the best solution for my hearing loss.
Testing was straightforward, followed by a comprehensive explanation of my hearing limitations and the various levels of sound management options possible, to suit my lifestyle. The 3 month 'test drive' period to see if I've made the right choice is really helpful.
Several days later, the fitting session was a thorough and re-assuring introduction to wearing, cleaning and charging my new hearing aids.
The Hearingcare clinic is in the city centre. When I arrived home, in the suburbs, I heard a volume of birdsong which I must have been missing for a number of years.

Shopped the Sale and was pleased to get a huge silky sleep-T. I will go back when some new designs arrive because these Ts are seriously comfortable for lounging and/or sleeping.

Another pair of wool bedsocks just delivered.
They are sheer bliss for feet that chill easily due to me taking blood thinners.
They are not just for bedtime, they are anytime socks, nice and long (mid-calf length) and with loose tops so no pressure marks on my legs.

I have comfy, cosy pretty-in-pink feet.

Got the Mohair Classic Bundle, because of the loose tops, hoping they would help feet made cold by blood thinners.
Result? Bliss: I have warm feet in lovely colours( and no dented legs from sock elastic).

When I need odds and ends at a really good price, I go to 7dayshop. I occasionally find irresistible things in their newsletter, too!
In my experience, items arrive swiftly and are what I expect from the description and price = trustworthy seller!

They are very stretchy and so cheerful.
Range of sizes is amazing.

I love my fingerless mitts so much that I'm now looking for them in all 'my' colours. The only problem is they sell out so fast, some colours take a while to obtain - which shows how many of us know how brilliant they are.

I have painful arthritis in one hand so wearing gloves hurts.
Turtle Doves give warmth and comfort and I can drive while wearing them.
I'm now collecting different colours!

We began by ordering tabards with printed logo and were so pleased with the mock-ups we went on to order polo shirts with embroidered logo.

It took me a few minutes to set up a subscription and its working!

Ordered 2 tripods (mefoto, 1x blue and 1x red) for looking terribly pose-y and travelling light, got standard free delivery..
One tripod arrived within 3 days, the other, which I knew was out of stock when I bought it, arrived 2 days later. As always, both items were beautifully packed and padded to withstand all imaginable damage during delivery.
This is why we always buy from WEX and why we recommend others to do so!

£1000-worth of Hard Drives and Enclosure were sent to me without any protective packaging. 2 Hard Drives loose in a Jiffy Bag were sent by regular post, arriving just after I discovered the manufacturer-boxed HD Enclosure had been placed in a larger cardboard box with absolutely nothing else to pad it or restrain movement before being sent by courier across to N Ireland. Both packages had a fragile sticker, but that is hardly enough to ensure the items travel undamaged!!
I accepted delivery because there was no evidence of damage to the outer box, and was horrified to discover the inner item had been unrestrained in its journey. I am now arranging a return since there is no way to know what harm occurred in transit and whether the gear will work out of the box, or develop faults in a few weeks time. This is not the sort of computer back-up anyone would want to rely on.
The fact that goods are likely to be harmed in transit without proper packaging is demonstrated by BT Shop, explaining how goods for return should be packaged to avoid damage. Had they followed their own instructions, re adequate packaging and protection, I would not be expensively inconvenienced!
I am absolutely furious, this is the first and last time I will use BT Shop, which I mistakenly thought was a reputable seller. I would recommend prospective customers to buy elsewhere.

Wex is so dependable.
Items come very well packaged, to protect them against the carelessness of couriers, something I value after a bad experience with a battered lens, despatched by very big online company in a box with no protective material in it at all.
Prices are VFM. Not the cheapest but then not grey imports or clever imitations.
I knew what I wanted to buy on this occasion, but from past experience I know that if I'd needed advice the Wax staff are amazingly helpful.
I will keep using Wex as long as the company ethos survives...hope the acquisition by a big international won't spoil the friendly and effective service.

I have just taken delivery of a Canon 5d Mark iii with a generic battery grip, which arrived in a wonderfully protective amount of bubble-wrap, and well- padded so the goodies could not move around in the delivery box. Unfortunately the grip seemed defective out of the box, so I made a short phone call to check out a potential problem and had a useful chat with the Wex rep/photographer, in case I subsequently needed a replacement. Two days later, after considerable testing, I needed the replacement and I needed it fast: another helpful phone conversation and the replacement grip was on its way. Now all is well.
I have bought my camera gear from Wex, and its earlier incarnation Warehouse Express, since 2004, while my husband has used them for longer and we recommend them to anyone who asks where to buy a camera. The website is easy to use and, if you need advice, there are lovely staff at the end of the phone who know their stock and how to give customer support. However, it is in the packaging and delivery of expensive and vulnerable items that they excel. We live in N Ireland and dependable delivery matters, particularly protective packaging not just a bit of padding and a box to write the delivery address on!
Wex are competitive in price, but not always cheapest especially when compared with sellers dealng in grey merchandise. On one occasion I did buy a Canon 70-300mm lens from Amazon and was appalled when it arrived by Courier in a badly crushed box, which meant I had to refuse delivery. I refused a replacement and gladly paid more for a dependably safe delivery from Wex!
This is not the first time I have had a problem with camera gear and got helpful advice from Wex. They do not have the defensive attitude of some retailers who see an enquiry about a possible manufacturers fault as a criticism of their own business, Wex understands consumer rights and is a good practitioner.
Use them, they run a major on-line business with corner-shop friendliness and commitment to create satisfied customers!
