GONE SERIOUSLY DOWN THE PAN

Have used these before, you get what you pay for but they were ok as spares. This time from UK site NOT so good.
Wanted 2 readers and 2 distance, wouldn't let me order more than 1 pair and wouldn't accept discount code but still ordered. Left a few minutes allowed me to order second pair only and accepted discount code this time. Third time of trying accepted discount code again+ did allow me to order 2 pairs. Now have 3 orders, got the last order (2 X pairs) first but no reference number, think they're readers but terrible compared to those from my optician, 2 days later second pair delivered, no reference again, ok as distance glasses, have no idea about third order, yet all were ordered the same day. NOT impressed so won't be going back to them again!

Brilliant to deal with and quick…

Brilliant to deal with and quick delivery. Yes there's probably better quality out there but you'll pay a fortune for them. Don't be out off though these are very good quality for an exceptional price, would definitely buy again.

Bought a new HP Deskjet 2800e printer…

Bought a new HP Deskjet 2800e printer that wouldn't connect to any device. Previous printer was fine but bulky as it was used professionally and I wanted to downsize after retiring so sold it. Phone connects without issue to printers in local library, post office, corner shop etc so just shows it's the HP brand as phone also connects to a different brand in the local computer shop. Took this piece of HP CRAP back for a refund, bought another brand everything now connected first time, Lesson - don't bother with HP

Shop staff always helpful, online chat (with a robot) complete waste of time, call centre used to be great but now staffed by people who struggle with English so be prepared to constantly repeat yourself, O2 now on a par with the contents of my granddaughters nappy, will not be renewing my contracts

More lies, read their reply

What a suprise, they reply to my previous post by saying they have no record of me! I guess this is how they cover up their activities by suggesting I don't exist on their files/must have left the review on the wrong company.
Don't take any notice of their carefully worded sales pitch:
Sold for market value or above
MEANS value it higher to draw you then reduce it on a regular without consulting you
No fee's
MEANS no commission but you do have other costs that they conveniently don't mention.
THINK ABOUT IT an 'investor' is going to give you above market value and then pay all your costs.
The UK housing market is not the most attractive to foreign investors who are looking for a good return on their investment, 7 or 8 percent is not a good return where investments are concerned and the days of a fast appreciating asset are long gone.
DON'T believe a word, you'll regret it!

Only because NO STARS on negative stars…

Only because NO STARS on negative stars are unavailable. They are advertising a vacant rental property I have as 'for sale' making it difficult for me to rent out. It's listed with old photos copied from off Rightmove for £113000 when identical properties sell for between £135k and £148k. They ignore my emails explaining the situation and requesting it's removal suggesting they are immoral, dishonest scam outfit like the the dodgy outfit listing it !

Scammers friend

In recent years I had a property advertised for rent by the letting agent on Rightmove, that same property is advertised as 'for sale' on right move with old photos. Rightmove were informed and asked for proof of ownership which I understand however following submission of such proof including a solicitors letter they continue to advertise claiming this is the instruction of the agent.
My point being Rightmove ignore the instructions of the proven legal owner and follow the instructions of a scammer.

From what you've said, referring to old photos, it sounds like you are talking about the address appearing in the Sold Price Search? If that is the case, the address is not being advertised for sale, this is based on public data provided by HMLR.

As the owner, you have the right to remove the pictures that appear there, but you cannot remove the entry altogether as this is publicly available information.

If there is a listing advertising it for sale, that absolutely should not be happening and I can only apologise that it has not been dealt with at the first instance, If this is the case please call us on 01908 712 300.

Unbelievably arrogant and…

Unbelievably arrogant and unprofessional. Never anyone available when you ring, endless excuses and false promises to ring you back but they never do. Ignore emails including instructions contained within them. Have the required notice via the contract email they supplied and guess what they claim they never reviewed it when they eventually got back to me. Why would they ring me back about leaving if they hadn't received it and we didn't it bounce back ? Pure scam that try and stitch you up DON'T GO ANYWHERE NEAR THEM !!!!!!!!!!!!

Full of lies, takes money doesn't send item makes excuses for not refunding and eBay do nothing. I've had a series of issues with ebay and started at sing alternative sites with much happier results. eBay has had its day as it encourages scammers due to not being customer focused.

Good service and ok briquettes but not…

Good service and ok briquettes but not a game changer. I'm retired and have a lifetimes experience of wood burners. Now live in a new build open plan house and can keep it very toasty even in frosty conditions with timber logs on a very thin layer of ovoids.
Don't knock until you try it so ordered a box of night briquettes which I've managed a max of 7 hours from (not bad) and keep the stove warm but not hot. The house stays warm but suspect that's the excessive insulation. Wouldn't rule out buying again but ovoids currently produce more heat for a slightly lower cost. All stoves, homes and personal needs differ so don't be put off, experiment with all options until you find a fuel that suits you.

Gone seriously down hill

First time we've been in since early pandemic, what a massive decline, products not always the best but now bottom end of the market and seriously over priced. Went into the cafe fish & chips listed at £3 but got to the till and was told it was over £6 (family card apparently) misleading ! Left both at the till, left the store and went into M&S much better value. Noticed the few chips that you get at IKEA had a lot of black on them too, so products and food poor quality and overpriced. If you look at their reviews it's not just us and they don't seem to car either. You're much better off in Jysk judging by this experience!

Same old them, 1 star given as 0 is not an option.
Tried switching, quick to open account but then vanish. Phone number difficult to find but after 1 hour 40 mins gave in. Virtual assistant totally useless and messaging service none responsive. Don't bother they're customer service is about as useful as a&E department at the NHS

Good Home Paint, terrible stuff, decent coverage which isn't surprising as it's like chewing gum, doesn't come off the roller or brush well and it's impossible to cut in neatly as it doesn't flow well at all, AVOID spend a little more on something decent

Still waiting

Still waiting, system app shows earnings of over £151 (15p) octopus app shows £5+ (4.1p) and the wrong start date. Not difficult to work out who's making money here, having spoken to the installer he says it a common complaint with Octopus, they delay signing you up to a better tariff so they can continue buying at a very low rate and sell on a high rate ( they're buying much cheaper than their main source). While he says they all do it Octopus are by far the worst in his experience. His suggestion AVOID OCTOPUS ENERGY!

EON are far better

Latest update, NO FURTHER ON! There's a suprise. More lies, more boasts, more promises to solve the complaint. From being told the SEG was live in early March the system app shows earnings of £144 yet Octopus's app shows £3.96.
I've a rental property with EON where solar and batteries were installed late February (3 months after octopus) and that has just come live at 16.5/KW. No explanation needed as to who the cowboys are, AVOID AVOID AVOID Octopus if you want good honest ethical service

Further to my recent post about octopus…

Further to my recent post about octopus I can today report that the matter is no further on, even though a complaint was raised 19 days ago nothing has happened other than an email acknowledging the complaint and boasting about how they take complaints seriously! I can assure you they DON'T. When again querying the SEG tariff I was sent a link to register for it (again) but couldn't be put through to the team dealing with it. The details requested on the form were my account details and everything I've previously submitted on many occasions before, surely these would already be on their system under my account details. I apparently now have to wait for them to process this latest application before being paid. The app on my phone that calculated the earnings is now at approx £130 yet I have earned nothing as octopus are experts at introducing delaying tactics. I am aware of others who have experienced the same with octopus yet many others who have waited between 6 and 8 weeks from install to earning from alternative more ethical utility companies. Someone is making a lot of money out of this scam and it isn't me, they draw you in with a high SEG rate then rip you off for months, AVOID

Dishonest and inefficient

Have used Octopus as a family for many years but have recently installed Solar PV/batteries (nov23), I accept the process of receiving the feed in tariff is a slow one, parts of which is out of their control but I submitted the final paperwork in early January 2024 which was acknowledged, again in February 2024 as they claimed to have no record of it, In March 2024 they claimed to have received the final part of the process from the relevant body and today have denied that. when checking with that body they have confirmed that no such application has been received. Hardly an honest company to deal with hence I will be taking mine and my families business elsewhere as they are costing an average of £2.66/day in feed in tariff, GOODBYE Octopus

It wont let you use unless you log in, cant log in until you register an account, cant register an account as it says one doesn't exist ! \bet it would let you in if you filled in your card details.
