Poor service Poor product…

Purchased 2 pairs of the Shindefenders as Christmas presents for my kids. Recently washed one pair, as instructed on the product, in a cool wash, to find the product has disintegrated and does not serve purpose. Contacted the company in China, to be told it should be hand washed. Ok, this wasn’t mentioned on the care instructions. However I had purchased another pair in the mean time. Asked about returning or a refund only to be offered 30% refund. Save yourself time and effort and avoid these cheap Far Eastern rubbish.

As expected the T-shirt is good

As expected the T-shirt is good, maybe slightly lesser weight than I would have preferred but it’s all good and fits. Thank you. Will be ordering again. Delivery time was ok but not too quick.

Ordered a pair of shoes and paid for…

Ordered a pair of shoes and paid for standard delivery. The delivery went “missing” via Yodel and nobody seems to know where my order is. I am receiving 2 updates per day which is unsatisfactory considering the situation. There is no urgency or customer service. Just been told to wait another 48 hours for Yodel to “investigate” why not send me another pair to keep the customer happy? Very poor customer service.

If you could email us with a note of your order number to officetrustpilot@office.co.uk , we can then check this out for you.

We have noted in our T&C's on timescales, see below :

"In the event of a disputed delivery,OFFICE must be notified directly, within 10 days of the dispatch date, to allow us to look into this fully and uphold any claims made. Once a dispute has been raised, please allow 5 working days for us to investigate. During this time, depending on the type of dispute, we will carry out investigations with our dispatch location(s) and the courier. We may also review CCTV at the point of dispatch to ensure the correct process has been followed. This CCTV is for review purposes only and will not be shared out with the business. Customers may be asked to provide proof of signature and will be required to complete a declaration confirming non receipt of their order. Proof of signature and/or the declaration should be returned within 10 days of the dispute being raised. Failure to do so may result in the investigation being delayed and/or closed without action."

We'll check this out also, if over the timescale we advise.

Attempted using the App chat

Attempted using the App chat, waited too long. Decided to call, press this press that, again, too long. With a company making billions in profits why not provide your spending customers with a service that works. Attempting to ‘streamline’ calls does not work. Clever wording does not work. Talking to people works. Very poor service.

Our BOSTON concrete top bar table, purchased from Croydon in April 2019, collapsed in May 2021.

We contacted the store of purchase via email with photoas of the damaged goods and they ordered replacement table, advising an approximate 6-wk delivery.

6 weeks came and went and the store contacted us to advise that the range had actually been DISCONTINUED and we were welcome to visit the store to find/order replacement goods.

Collection of the damaged, faulty goods was arranged and fulfilled in August 2021 - Furniture Village Croydon are in possession of our goods.

We ordered a new dining table + chairs in August 2021 and were given a Oct 2021 delivery. Last week the store emailed to advise that the goods were not likely to be delivered until DECEMBER.

At this point we were exasperated and requested a refund. This seems just as difficult as receiving goods.

The Customer Service lady Annabelle Natale has zero customer service skills - she is unfamiliar with her clients' cases and is very useless quite frankly. The store manager Chris has stepped in and he is just as useless as he has been unable to confirm a definitive amount we are due.

SO I write to you in the hope that Head Office may be able to step in and restore our confidence in Furniture Village, because at this rate we are VERY UNLIKELY to return to store.
