Probably a scam

I have just been scammed by this company I think.
I signed up for one month only and paid £11.99, which is reasonable enough for an app that chats to you about yoga and plays music while you’re out for a walk.
My “plan” seems to have turned into something else and they have just taken £24.47 from my card without my permission. I’m currently trying to sort it out and may change this review if they refund me.
Not very happy.

Overall good shopping experience on line and in store.

I enjoy shopping in John Lewis both in person and on line, and have been a customer for many years. I love the stores and the on line shopping experience is good and easy to navigate.
I have two comments to make in relation to how improvements could be made.
Firstly, I think JL could demonstrate more transparency in relation to the company’s sustainability credentials - particularly for clothing. Most high quality retailers now demonstrate the environmental impact of their goods and the ethical status of their supply chain and it would be good to see JL do this more convincingly.
Secondly, and less importantly, I find the charge for "click and collect" goods annoying. Most of the quality retailers I use do not charge for this, no matter what the price of the item. I think perhaps, JL might review this policy.

Excellent service. Cristian and Alex arrived within the time frame agreed and they handled the chair carefully.
Communications were good throughout and they phoned ahead to say they would arrive within the half hour, as requested.

Excellent service and great dough

The customer service was excellent and I had a great conversation with Stephanie, who was extremely helpful with my order. The dough was excellent. I particularly like the sourdough taste and the way the dough behaves - it was super easy to use. The original dough was good but I think I might have to prove it for longer next time, as I struggled to get it to stretch. Big compliments on the GF dough - the recipient was delighted with it and she said it was much nicer than she had eaten elsewhere.
I also highly recommend the tomato sauce and the Fior di Latte mozzarella cubes which are perfect on any pizza.
Delivery was on the expected day.

Disappointed and stressed by customer service

I am sorry to be writing this because I hate giving bad reviews, but the difficulties I am having with this company are now causing me stress. It’s a complicated story but the bottom line is, because of confusion with my different email addresses, I thought they were not sending me the item and I was being scammed. I had paid through PayPal and so I got PayPal to withdraw the payment.
I ordered the same pan from Amazon and it arrived the next day.
I continued to get emails telling me my order was incomplete, so I was pretty surprised to receive the pan yesterday from Jean Patrique.
I phoned the company immediately and told them what had happened. The person I spoke to was polite and helpful and said she would send a courier to collect it but she just had to check with PayPal.
She phoned me back today and was like a different person. Told me I had to take it to the post office and pay for the return postage because the error was my fault because I didn’t cancel the order with them.
I said they could collect it and she said they would not and they would take the money via PayPal. I was quite staggered at the change in attitude and was quite upset by the end of it. I have had heart surgery recently and started having palpitations as a result so I had to get off the phone.
I have had a further email but they are insisting I pay the postage.
They are still sending me numerous marketing emails, ironically offering me a discount offer, the value of which is much more than the postage would be!
By the way I have used the Jean Patrique pan I received from Amazon and it seems to be very good.

Great Company

I am delighted to recommend this company. I have just had an old, badly faded but very precious photo restored beautifully. It was a photo that I had been told elsewhere was faded beyond help.
It has now been brought back to life amazingly well.
Neil Rhodes was helpful and easy to deal with and promptly responded to all my requests.
Great skills, great company, reasonably priced and prompt service.

Very helpful and efficient Customer Services.

I recently ordered boots from Moda in Pelle on line. I received the wrong boots so contacted Customer Services.
Unlike other reviewers on this site, it seems, my experience was very good. They were prompt and efficient and very speedily sent me the correct boots. They refunded the cost I incurred to return the wrong ones as soon as I had emailed them a copy of the proof of postage. The entire process took three days.

What you see is not what you get and the wait is long.

I ordered a black cardigan from this company and eventually received it. Although I am disappointed, I’m going to keep it because, having read other reviews, I can’t be bothered with the stress of trying to return it.
So what was right with it?
Well it is, indeed, a black cardigan and it came well packaged. It fits me - more or less.
Now for the not so good:
It is described on the web site as “chunky” knit. On the picture it appears to be attractive bouclé wool and has nice extra- long sleeves, which I particularly like.
When the cardigan arrived it was clear that it is similar to the photo but unfortunately, not the same. The cardigan is not ‘chunky’ and the yarn used is a plain double knit and not bouclé; the sleeves are barely long enough for my (average length) arms; the overall cut of the cardigan is not as shown on the picture.
It took VeryVoga a very long time to ‘process’ my order (about three weeks) and then it took a further week for it to arrive. If I had realised how long it was all going to take, I could have knitted one for myself in the time - and with longer sleeves.
I suspect that this company produces cheap copies of items produced by other companies and ‘doctors’ their photos to make their products look better on line.
It will be interesting to see how well this cardi washes and wears. I’m guessing it may become bouclé in time - but not in a good way.
Overall, not a great retail experience, and not a company I would recommend. Sorry!

Fake DVLA site

It is not possible to give negative stars, otherwise that is what I would have given.
This is a dodgy company pretending to be the DVLA.
If, as I did you believe that you are paying the DVLA and have paid your 50p, cancel the « subscription » immediately and let your bank know.
I think you could probably even get your 50p refunded if you try. I could not be bothered - and I got the information I wanted.
They say you can’t scam an honest person. Sadly this is not true. It is people who want to do the right thing who get caught by these criminals.

Lovely Furniture very well made

I have now bought five items of furniture from Myakka. They are all of a very high standard of manufacture and finish and are perfect for my requirements in terms of style and size for my house. I love the fact that the furniture is fair trade and from renewable sources.
I have had some difficulties with their couriers in relation to deliveries but Myakka addressed this to my satisfaction when they became aware of the problems.

Efficient service. Quality product.

I ordered a Magma DJ bag for my son as a birthday present. I ordered it early just in case, but actually it arrived in very good time.
I gave it to him today, not without a little trepidation, because although I could tell it was good quality, I did not know if it would be suitable for his needs and if he would like the style of it. He is very fussy indeed. However, he seemed genuinely delighted with it - because although he liked his previous one ( not a Magma bag) a great deal, it is now old and falling apart and he could not fit records and a lap top in it.
Good service and as described - which is very useful for someone who does not know much about what they are buying.

Swift service and reasonable price.

Overall, I was very satisfied with this purchase. It was very easy to order the lenses and they were delivered within two days. The price was reasonable.
My one disappointment was that you do not have tinted daily disposable lenses suitable for my prescription. I.e the + range for distance vision.

Very good prompt service

I ordered a case for a Kindle Fire. This was the only supplier I could find that stocked them at the time. Ineeded it to take across to the USA as a present and it arrived very promptly. Reasonable price.
