Once you go Viggo, you never go back

Apart from the quality of the regular service (showing up on time, driving carefully, actually knowing the destination, etc.) compared to other taxi services, I have just had a tremendous experience.

One busy morning, I used Viggo to get to an important meeting. After the meeting, I realized that I could not find my wallet. After having checked all pockets and my bag, I realized that it might be in the taxi.

I used the app to reach out to Viggo for help. After a very short while, I got a kind reply that they were on the case and reaching out to the driver. A short while later the driver actually phoned me and told me he had my wallet. He ended up meeting me later the same day in the middle of Copenhagen, keeping me updated by text messages on his progress. I got my wallet and the driver did not want any compensation for the time and effort he had put in.

Altogether an brilliant experience by a company that actually recognizes that they are in the service business - and again I am comparing to other taxi companies in Denmark.

I have switched all my taxi use to Viggo, no regrets.

Goodbye Aamanns1921

I had an interesting week with Aamanns1921 last week and I am now an ex-customer.

On Monday, December 18 I had lunch with a colleague. We picked some open sandwiches from the memu, some beers and some snaps. All in all a very nice meal with really good service.

On Friday, December 22 I was back with my wife and our best friends from Norway. I had chosen to come back to Aamanns1921 based on the Monday experience. I made the wrong choice.

After arriving, we looked at the menu. 3 of us wanted the Christmas Lunch menu (a six course menu with fish, shrimps, duck and a dessert). I wanted to go for a couple of open sandwiches as I did not have that much of an appetite and I do not like seafood.

We ordered the 3 menus, no problem. When I tried to order my selection we were told that all guests would need to order the menu, no exceptions. I was close to exploding as 1) we had not been told in advance, 2) it was not indicated in the printed menu and 3) I did not like 4 of the 6 courses in the menu.

In order to preserve the good spirits at the table, I ended up having to accept the menu, feeling forced into making this choice. No need to add that I was feeling mistreated, feeling that this was more about what was practical for the restaurant, not about what the guest wanted.

During the meal one of my guests kept asking the waiter to reconsider. Eventually he said he would check with the kitchen to see whether it was possible. He ended up bringing me one of the open sandwiches that I had originally asked for.

So, Aamanns1921, guess what. You lost a repeat customer. There are other restaurants serving very nice traditional Danish lunch and I will take my business there because…

- You are a high-end restaurant where I expected to be able to make my own choices when it comes to the food I want to eat
- Nowhere did it say that the choice of the six course menu required all guests tomake the same choice. We were only told as we tried to order
- The special occasion we had looked forward to was now partly spent discussing and digesting the bad experience
- You forced me into choosing an expensive menu at 625 dkk instead of two open sandwiches at a total of 310 dkk…and making me pay for the open sandwich you eventually agreed to serve, an extra 175 dkk
- Making the customer fit into the restaurant’s need for efficient processes on the floor and in the kitchen is - to me- getting your priorities wrong. If there was a trade-off in the form of low prices then it might be OK, but that is not the case here when your entire set-up signals a high-end experience, Michelin level food, etc. etc.
- In the end you gave me what I originally wanted, but managed to lose my trust completely. My conclusion is, of course, that it actually was possible to get what I wanted. It would have been so much better if we had started there.

I did end up giving the waiter a tip due to him eventually delivering on my initial choice. I am pretty sure he was just following orders from the restaurant manager when restricting our initial choice.

So, that was a story about starting the week as a satisfied customer and ending the week deciding not to come back and even taking the time to share this experience.

We have reviewed our menus and can see that it is noted under the Christmas menu, that it should be chosen for the entire table, but we apologize if it wasn’t clear enough. Also, that it wasn’t explained clearly by the waiter, which I will bring with me to my colleagues along with your feedback, so they can discuss the situation. We understand your frustration, and it’s never our intention to make our guests feel compelled into making choices that don't align with their preferences.

Despite this experience, we hope that you consider giving us another chance in the future, either at Aamanns 1921 or at one of our other restaurants.

Bestilte en iPhone 15 på humac.dk…nul resultat

Bestilte en iPhone Pro Max på humac.dk den 15. september da der blev åbnet for bestillinger, hvor der på hjemmesiden stod ‘fås fra 22. september’.

Det oversatte jeg i min forbruger-hjerne til at så sender Humac ud ligesom Apple, så man modtager varen den 22. september.

Ordrebekræftelsen indeholder ingen leveringsdato andet end løftet om at sende en mail når varen er pakker og afsendt.

Jeg har så siden onsdag i sidste uge forsøgt at få en status på bestillingen fra ‘kundeservice’ Jeg har forsøgt mail, chatbot og at skrive på deres facebook side.

Ingen reaktioner fra Humac. Overhovedet, andet end at love mig svar inden for 24 timer. De 24 timer er gået mange gange nu.

Konklusion: Ikke mere handel med Humac i fremtiden fra min side. I har tabt min tillid.

OPDATERING, 16. oktober 2023

Efter dette opslag blev jeg kontaktet af Humac Kundeservice. Jeg fik en forklaring på hvad der bag kulisserne havde skabt den dårlige oplevelse og jeg fik - efter nogle ekstra kolbøtter - leveret min telefon fredag den 13. oktober.

Jeg opjusterer derfor med to ekstra stjerner - men de er ALENE givet for opfølgningen, ikke den egentlige oplevelse.

Fra truende opsigelse til tilfreds kunde (efter bogen)

Er abonnent på en 1000Mb forbindelse. Havde store problemer med forbindelsen, der gik ned oftere og oftere.

Efter en del ventetid nåede jeg frem til support pr. telefon, hvor jeg blev godt modtaget af Jonas K. Han forstod hurtigt problemet, stillede konkrete og forståelige spørgsmål og kom med en diagose og gav et par alternativer.

Svaret var at hoppe på en fast IP-adresse. Jonas K. gav oveni anbefalinger omkring håndtering af mit alarmsystem, der er tilkoblet forbindelsen og måske kunne volde problemer.

Efter vi havde afsluttet samtalen kom der opfølgende mails ikke kun samme dag men også i de følgende dage for at sikre, at problemet var blevet løst.

Alt i alt hurtig, kompetent support, der løste problemet med dialog i øjenhøjde.

Jonas K. fik vendt en truende opsigelse af abonnement til tilfreds kunde.

Og hvis man hælder til lean, så gjorde Jonas K. følgende
- Løste mit problem helt
- Spildte ikke min tid
- Gav mig præcis hvad jeg havde brug for
- Leverede værdien til tiden og på rette måde
- Reducerede antallet af beslutninger jeg skulle tage for at få problemet løst.

Brilliant platform for getting your…

Brilliant platform for getting your watch cravings covered

Pretty cool platform where you can learn about watches, compare offerings (quality, price, etc.), validate sellers, etc.

I have used the escrow service for each of my purchases. That just gives you the extra level of comfort/security.

One additional feature that I really like is getting a market based valuation of your personal collection as part of your personal profile.

Cancelled my order - sent an e-mail...sigh

Ordered dinner for two (burgers) at 5PM. Supposed to be delivered at 6PM.

At 6.30PM I call the restaurant. Turns out the order got cancelled as they were out of bacon.

Called Just-eat afterwards. Turns out they sent an e-mail updating me on the cancellation. Did not see the mail.

Pretty stupid from my perspective. They have my cell phone on file, my address and mu name. Given that it’s a warm meal that I am expecting, why not send a text or do a robo-call to make sure I know that I need to find an alternative solution.

At handle på nemlig.com er en…

At handle på nemlig.com er en fornøjelse.

App’en/websiden er nem at bruge og efterhånden som man bliver dygtigere opdager man de mange genveje, smarte funktioner og ikke mindst de mange ekstra ‘forretninger’ med specialvarer o.l.

Leveringen er 99% af tiden i orden, både med tid og med leverking af de varer der er bestilt. Frugt og grønt er i orden, også selvom man ikke selv har valgt det. Ingen brune pletter her. De få gange der har været forsinkelser på leverance ift. det valgte tidsinterval er vi blevet advaret på forhånd.

Kombinationen af at slippe for at skulle stå i kø ved kassen i supermarkedet og kun købe det man har på indkøbslisten er også fantastisk. vi har sparet både tid, kræfter og penge ved at skifte til nemlig.com.

Hurtig, enkel og effektiv

Nemt at finde produktet på hjemmesiden,, varen var på lager og kunne sendes umiddelbart efter. Produktet dukkede op på bestillingsadressen indenfor den lovede tid. Beds af alt var, at der løbende var tilbagemeldinger med forsendelsens status.
Alt i alt ville jeg ikke tøve med at handle her igen.
