Global Pass mechanism NON FUNCTIONAL

The Global Pass mechanism DOES NOT WORK.
To add passenger 2, to book trains, to reserve seats ALL HAD TO BE DONE SEPARATELY - costing far more than it should have.
The kindness of strangers helping with luggage as two 76 year olds struggled with sticks, luggage & steps up & down was heartwarming. But does it have to be so complicated to get any of the tech to work??? We must have spent 6 hours booking journeys & seats - None of which would the Pass actually "adopt" as advertised.
