Review of Mr Central Heating

Really poor customer service and after service

I’ve bought many things from Mr Central Heating over quite a years including 3/4 boilers, many radiators and other bits and pieces and Never had a problem, that was until something went wrong with an item I bought!
I purchased all of the cast iron radiators for my flat that we renovated in 2021 and they looked great. Unfortunately after a few years of working great we noticed that the coating was bubbling on the tops on 2 of the 7 radiators. I had to visit the store to buy another radiator anyway so took photos we me of the faulty rads.
I showed the guy behind the counter who told me that there wouldn’t be a problem as they were well within the 5 year warranty, all I had to do was email some pictures of the radiators and the bubbling and he would forward on to head office and arrange for them to be replaced. I did explain to him that I couldn’t find my invoice but they will have it all on record under my name, he told me that they had a brand new computer system and that all past records had been deleted but not to worry as they were obviously bought from them from the photos plus Tte fact I just bought another to match. I thought to myself what great customer service. How wrong could you be!
A couple of weeks went by and I heard nothing so I sent a follow up email to see if there was any updates. Anyway again I was told no problem but I need to send more photos plus which sizes I needed! Again I followed instructions and sent it all through. Another 2 weeks went by and still no word. This time I called to chase things up to see when we will be getting our replacement radiators. This time was a different tone from the member of staff. I was now told that without my original invoice they wouldn’t be able to replace the rads! I also receive quite an abrupt email from head office that I thought was quite rude which basically said you ain’t getting new ones and that’s it. I did respond but have been ignored ever since. All the photos I sent through and the month of waiting was all for nothing. Was it my fault that they replaced there system and lost all their data? They knew I bought the radiators from them but some jobsworth has obviously stepped in and found a way out of replacing the obviously faulty products. These radiators should last for a long time, long time not 3 years.
Unfortunately It seems Mr Central Heating are great when they are taking money off of you but when it comes to giving a little back it’s a different matter which shows with there 2.3 rating on here. Quite shortsighted of them too as I certainly won’t be spending any more of my hard earned money with them again. Shame on you mr Central Heating!!!! 😞

UPDATE

I have now managed to find the transactions on my bank statements now I know what name I’m looking for. it’s under UDH and also one receipt and was told by them that they couldn’t find any history of transactions so now they have the actual dates and proof of purchase there shouldn’t be any excuses
