Preorder was late but good communication would try again

Ordered a preorder well in advance, only found out the day before launch that it wouldn't be dispatched till the day of launch with the expectation of arriving the day after. I only got this info because I chased it up. While I recognise that this may have been due to factors beyond the shops control I still would have liked to be informed earlier there was an issue. I would have given 4 stars but my copy wasn't dispatched till the evening of launch day and didn't register with royal mail till after 8pm meaning there was 0 chance of it arriving next day so it actually arrived 2 days after launch. I was impressed by the quick email communication and would try again with a non-preorder item.

Edit: You've misunderstood which customer you are responding too. This was my first order with yourselves and I haven't emailed about compensation. So i'm honestly startled by the end of your reply. i'm sorry if you felt my review was unfair I thought that my willingness to try using you again showed there was no hard feelings.

We do not hand over stock to Royal Mail at 8pm because they are not open at 8pm. You can see this for yourself here - https://www.royalmail.com/services-near-you/delivery-office/swansea-delivery-office-sa1-1aa.
The stock was handed over in good time for next day delivery using Tracked 24.
The first scan with Royal Mail takes place AFTER the stock has been handed over and they begin processing it in their distribution centres.

EDIT - Thank you for providing further information on your order. I apologise for the confusion and welcome the honest feedback. The information I have provided regarding Royal Mail remains true. While we always aim to get pre-orders to our customers on release day, sometimes things go against us. Hopefully, the market leading price you paid provided some solace :)
