The Kremlin Might do a Better Job

I'm a "Rep Payee" for my disabled sister's benefit. Repeatedly the SSA suspends her benefit for the lamest reasons, like, her landlord forgetting to cash her rent payment and the money sits in her account. Most recently, her group home returned SSA's mail to sender and they suspended her again. I've called four times and spent a total of SIX HOURS on hold. The first time I spoke to an agent who couldn't find any problem but promised the issue was resolved. When at the end of the month my sister's payment was not received I called again. Twice I was disconnected after 30 minutes of holding. Another time I was on hold for OVER THREE HOURS and finally hung up, exasperated. Once again I'm on hold listening to an endless repetition of mind-numbing messages. I am truly ashamed of being an American whenever I deal with SSA and have great pity for all my fellow citizens.
