I joined Credit Secrets, and the first payment was double charged; I contacted them, and it was returned. I decided to get their automated, which prints out multiple letters needed to send to credit bureaus to remove old info, remove inquiries, etc. It read that you can use 30 letters from each category. The letter process is a bit long, and we have to wait 30 to 60 days to send each progressive letter. I got charged a second $49 charge, then when I called, they said they would remove it, not the first one I didn't use as my letters don't go for another 30 days, but they would swallow that as my mistake and their JANKEY business practices. Today, instead of a refund, I received two more $49.99 charges; now, my card is over $50, and they are RUINING MY CREDIT. THE OWNER STOPPED WORKING AS A FINANCE CREDIT OFFICER TO HELP AVERAGE FOLKS LIKE ME OUT OF THE CREDIT TRAP. Most of the advice I already knew, so he is still screwing people for personal gain! This multi-level scam charges double or triple for each ala cart component; I will contact the BBB next!
UPDATE:!!!!
Mario called me today. He cleared up all the confusion and credited back the charges to me. I did not understand that the extra service was an ongoing monthly service. I had signed up for the additional service in July, and he credited it all back and took his time to walk me through and explain exactly what I needed to do to begin this process. He directed me to the new version of the book, and I downloaded it. I have a direct line to get help from here on out.
As you can see from the first review I gave, I believed in this company, but I felt very betrayed when giving the second. It is lovely to know that somebody in this self-serving, money-motivated world CARES about the customers. I am very thankful for these folks. Mario, you changed my entire week with your call this morning, and knowing at least in this part of my struggle (credit), I have a team of folks who care and are 100% on MY side.
