Unauthorized Cancellation by Trip.com and Poor Customer Service
I booked a flight weeks ago through Trip.com, only to have them inform me that the flight was canceled and that this was at the request of the airline. However, when I contacted the airline company directly, they confirmed that no such cancellation had occurred. It appears that Trip.com canceled my booking on their own accord and is trying to blame the airline for it.
They are only offering a refund, but I purchased this ticket weeks ago at a much lower price compared to the current fares. Even though there is another direct flight on the same day, they are unwilling to change my booking to that flight without additional charges. Despite their mistake, their customer service representatives have not even offered an apology, leaving me in a very difficult situation.
I feel completely let down and disappointed by Trip.com's handling of this issue.
