Not so green after all..
Green Chef is just Hellofresh in disguise. Lots of non-recyclable plastic packaging filled with not-so-good quality ingredients. Apparently it’s a ‘Carbon negative’ company but it looks a bit of greenwashing with all the plastic packaging and let’s not mention that you source tenderstem broccoli from Kenya in August when it’s in peak season in the UK!
Other than these you get versatile recipes for mid-tiered price which is good.

We’re sorry to hear you’re unhappy with the amount of plastic in the boxes.We dislike excess packaging and plastic waste as much as you do.
When we need to protect your ingredients in transit, we use the most sustainable packaging options on offer. As technologies improve, we’re always on the lookout for even more sustainable options. Currently, the majority of our packaging is recyclable. Our boxes, cardboard containers and recipe cards are FSC-certified and 100% recyclable in the paper bin. We still need to use some plastics in the box, which we offset 100% along with our carbon.
