Bought them less than a year ago, was looking at adding extra set when checked the connection found it had disintegrated and had a funny smell so cleaned it up and the lights tripped so not usable.

That this has been caused by water ingress into the end cap, as the fitting may have become loose over time. We have as you will have already read offered to fully replace these lights under the 12 month warranty. We have also offered advise on how to avoid this happening again with your new set.
