Accurate
Accurate. I had my maternal DNA tested (and patental DNA tested through my father years ago) with another company.
Over a decade later I researched who was the best for getting a more comprehensive haplogroup subclade and found Living DNA (knowing, providing the sample myself, I would get mtDNA and Autosomal).
So I knew what Haplogroup I would be, if Living DNA were accurate. Previously I'd been given just one letter by the other company, but Living DNA were able to breakdown this further. For example just a plain haplogroup 'A' with the old company turned into A1b2b3 provided by Living DNA. Not my real haplogroup, but just to demonstrate.
Autosomal DNA provided no real surprises, so I would say was also pretty accurate.
I also have 400+ matches who are 3rd, 4th, 5th etc cousins genetically. Looking at the website it is getting updated all the time and will be adding maps in common with these matches.
We are going to get other family members tested and I have bought kits as gifts for others which they have been satisfied with.
