Beware Online Photographs

We stayed in Upper Anzac, Brixham, Devon in September. The apartment was very disappointing; it looked much better in the online photographs when we booked. The general level of housekeeping was very poor. Black mould and broken sealant in the bathroom. Greasy and worn kitchen work-surfaces. The main oven didn't work. Heavy dust on the venetian blinds. Dirty carpets and very grubby seating. Many of the apartment features did not work and the property book was very scrappy. No locks on the veranda doors. The central heating controls were not as described in the book. It also said the property had Sky but it didn't.
Disappointed with the company response who said they would merely pass on our comments to the owner. No suggestion of a refund which we expected.
Classic Cottages replied to our complaint fairly promptly but with little effort at a real resolution considering we were so unhappy and also gave them photographs for evidence. Obviously they do not inspect their properties with much rigour.
Not a company we would recommend if you're looking for high end properties.
