Harassment of potential customers
The Yelp sales rep Holly is experienced in harassment, and has no respect of the word no. After a few clear emails saying NO, and 4 phone calls clearly saying NO, and never call again, she had the guts to email again requesting me to schedule a meeting!!! Harassment does not gain loyal paying customers. The only way to get her to stop was to block and report spam. I am a very polite person, but I do not put up with being persistently bullied and harassed.
Absence of customer support for Yelp.ca non-business accounts
''Oops, something went wrong. Please try again.''
This has been the same message I am getting from attempting to log in my Yelp.ca account for over a month.
Upon some extensive research on my own, I finally found some sort of Yelp.ca help/support email contact which I sent an email message 4-5 weeks ago since I am having this same fail to log in my own account issue with no explanation or direct help access available for non-business account users from Yelp.ca web site.
No response, help, support whatsoever I can receive from Yelp.ca other than the initial auto reply email that said they would get back to me 3-5 business days or so with a solution.
Posts I put up at Yelp.ca seem intact yet I am unable to write new posts or update my posts, respond to comments on my posts, etc. Yelp.ca does not seem to care about helping or supporting someone who has been their non-business account user for over 10 years
Tickets not delivered on time, upgrade really a downgrade
It was 30 minutes before the concert was set to start and we still hadn't received our tickets. I called customer service. I had to login to Ticketmaster (?) and email a screenshot showing that I had no tickets there. I don't know why I would since I hadn't purchased through Ticketmaster and Stubhub hadn't released any. Anyway, she verified it. Then she said she could offer to issue new tickets and upgrade them due to the inconvenience. I said that was fine, we just wanted to get in to the concert which was now set to start in less that 15 minutes. So she sent the new tickets. By the time we actually got them, it was 5 minutes before the concert, and they were NOT an upgrade! They were a major downgrade! I'm so angry! Our original seats were in a center section, and the "upgraded" seats were all the way in the far right section. But they were 3 rows closer, so I guess that makes it an upgrade???? I will never use Stubhub again!
Ticketmaster /StubHub
I purchased my tickets, through Ticketmaster, costing 604.42 but I receive a charge from "STUBHUB" for 848.50. One big SCAM
I did not purchase these tickets at a US$ rate. I purchased these tickets in Canadian $
From a Canadian Ticketmaster, for a Canadian Show in BC and in a Canadian Venue.
No where on the order page said this show was in US$, nor said anything about STUBHUB until I received an e-mail from a Canadian STUBHUB with the price of 604.42, not US$ and not 848.50
Very hard to create an account
This night it took me about an hour to create an account was a terrible experience I didn’t manage to create an account with a password of my own choice
Blackmailed by Yelp Marketing Team
As a new business owner I received a call from Yelp's marketing team offering to help grow the business. I refused the offer and since the they keep hiding all my five star reviews. I have over 40 reviews and they are showing the 4 five star reviews and the only one star review which was left by a competitor in the area. The marketing team called me again today and basically told me in not so many words that they will not allow my business to have good reviews unless I pay for a package. Are we now blackmailing businesses?

Always misleading about store info…
Always misleading about store info deliberately cherry picking outdated or fabricated information such as listing 10 grocery stores as 24 hours despite 9 of them never being 24hr, and one of them hasn’t been 24hr since 2018. Yelp should be shut down for how poorly they behave deliberately or if they’re feigning ignorance, how neglectful they are to their own fact checking.
Trustpilot reviews are false
Trustpilot reviews are false. If you write a review that's less than glowing "they TRUSTPILOT" will bounce the review back to the author telling you why it's necessary to re-write your review. TRUSTPILOT has forced two rewrites on my experience using "Get Thin" weightloss product. TRUSTPILOT even took the 2nd rewrite down because it wasn't singing weightloss praise. DO NOT TRUST ANY TRUSTPILOT REVIEWS FOR GENERIC OFF BRAND WEIGHTLOSS DRUGS!!!
Waste of time and money!
Waste of time and money!
I was cold-called by Yelp and sold on the idea that their lead impressions would generate meaningful business leads. I was reassured that even though Yelp has many residential users, they could specifically target business-to-business (B2B) customers. This turned out to be completely untrue.
I gave it a shot—shame on me. I received a total of five leads, all of which were residential customers.
I called to express my dissatisfaction and was told that my profile wasn’t properly set up to target B2B. Robbie, the agent, made changes and extended a promotion for increased impressions, assuring me this would generate better results. After the changes, I received two additional leads (part of the five), and again, all were residential.
I called back, got Robbie again, and told him I wanted to cancel. He launched into a retention script, but I made it clear I was done. He processed the cancellation, but informed me I’d still be charged for the first half of the month since I was canceling mid-cycle.
This is egregious to me—I’ve spent hundreds of dollars with zero results. Robbie told me he would send a form to request a refund, but I neither have the time nor the desire to navigate bureaucratic purgatory. Instead, I emailed the CEO directly at Jeremy. It’s been two days with no response. While I understand how busy a CEO can be, a dissatisfied paying customer should be a top priority.
If you're a business owner targeting other businesses, do not be hustled into using Yelp.

This business is a scam
This business is a scam. They hide your positive reviews and they will not remove negative reviews, even if you can prove they are from a nefarious source or for the wrong business. In addition, they will literally harass you with phone calls, saying "you're missing out on 5,000+ leads a month!" (or some other unrealistic number), but the second you pay them, they will drop off the face of the earth. I just spoke with a man at their customer service (415-266-3422). I guess his name is "Mike" - though I think they give all the men that name like any other scam operation. He was so incredible unhelpful and actually, his lack of pride in his work is disgusting. What a disgrace.
Stay away them
They scam business, hidden positive reviews. Their sale is non-stop contact your business, bother your business until they can get money from your business. Yelp contact number from different US line number because they have so many different salesman in many states. Your business is unable to correct information on yelp.
No support for people who provide reviews
I’ve receiving threats from a business after leaving a negative review. When calling yelp customer service I was told there support line is only for businesses.
I’m shocked. There’s no option for helping out a person who reviews. My attorney was shocked too. Let’s see where this goes, this actually might be on the news.
Worst Pizza ever
The company cannot improve, clueless,Pizza Hut Barrie makes the worst pizza and by design.$4.99 frozen pizza much better.
Impossible to work with!
Scam company, impossible to work with and reviews only visible if you spend money to advertise.
I'm a bookkeeper and I got 5 positive reviews. All were marked as "not recommended". The sales reps started calling me wanting me to advertise almost immediately. I was like what gives with hiding all my great reviews? He said in order to get reviews to stick the client had to contact me through yelp and once we communicated they could leave a review and it would stick. I had a few more clients that did this for me even though it was extra work for them. All of them are not recommended. I have 18 reviews, all real form clients I have know and worked for decades and not one is "recommended" and are hidden.
Don't bother to try and work with Yelp, its a lost cause.
Post you "Business" Add Elsewhere
I am a small business and posted my business on Yelp. My phone is non-stop with Yelp reps trying to get me to upgrade and pay for their service. Even after blocking each number they phone from, they always call back from a different number, they are no better than a collection agency phoning non-stop. Even after telling them numerous times that I am not interested and to remove my phone number, it still happens non-stop. Very stressful when you are on a job site trying to work and Yelp keeps ringing your phone.
Two of my clients gave me a 5 star review, Yelp removed both of the reviews , I am guessing because I am not a paying customer. Yelp is NOT the place to advertise your business unless you want all of your business reviews that are 5 star removed by Yelp. (I am guessing they leave your "1 Star" reviews posted)
If I could give "0 Stars" I would. There is alot of other sites to post your small business that are much better than Yelp. Save yourself the headache and post your business elsewhere.
I have a small business annd signed up…
I have a small business annd signed up for a free Yelp page years ago. Since then, all I get is Yelp representatives calling me almost daily trying to get me to sign up for paid ads. I had several 5 star reviews on there and they removed them all when I didn’t want to do business with them. Very disappointed with their behaviour and tells a lot about their company.
