Premier Heating saved the day!

I recently used Premier Heating and I couldn’t be happier! I had a situation with my gas oven, which required an immediate replacement and install. Premier Heating fulfilled the task quickly and efficiently. Communication with all staff was excellent, and quality of craftsmanship equally so. Aaron Flood was especially helpful and, as I was out of town at the time, his communication and good nature made it a totally stress free experience. I have no hesitation in recommending Premier Heating. Thank you for making it all easy!

A thorough and successful PowerFlush

Our central heating pipes are under concrete floors so we are delighted that Premier's engineer successfully removed all blockages and was able to re-balance the system by painstaking use of a PowerFlush on the system and each of our 12 radiators. All without causing a burst pipe! Their professional methods are why we have been their customers for over 30 years.

Repair of failed gas boiler.

The company was called to rectify the complete failure of a gas central heating system in a property occupied by an elderly, non mobile person and during a recent period of very cold weather.
The engineer, Ross Coulson arrived promptly, accurately diagnosed the problem and the part was ordered as an emergency.
Ross fitted the new gas control valve the following day, ensured the boiler was working and carried out a thorough check on the gas supply system. Everything is now working satisfactorily.
We have used this company for over 30 years for the maintenance and repair of gas central heating systems in two properties and have always received excellent service. Based on this experience, I can thoroughly recommend them. Also thanks to Ross for an excellent job.

Be very wary of this company

Be very wary of this company. Absolute cowboys that have you pay through the nose for everything and then try to replace bogus parts. I would strongly advise you not to use them if you have any problems with you boiler/ hot water or heating.

We called them in mid January to come and fix a problem that we were experiencing with intermittent hot water. Before they came out to our property we had heating and hot water, however the hot water in our shower kept going on and off. A plumber came and spent an hour looking at our boiler, and when she left we had no hot water or heating and there was an error reading on the boiler.

When we spoke to Premiere heating the next day we still had to pay the £130 call our fee even though the plumber came and made our problem worse! They then gave us a ridiculous quote to replace some parts on the boiler, however they said that this may not fix it and we may have to get a new boiler anyway. They said there was a blockage in the system and did not even suggest a powerflush to clear the system. On top of this they told us that they would not be able to do anything for a month and a half!

We were not impressed by them at all so called another plumber who came to try to sort the problem. He diagnosed the problem, gave the system a power-flush and was very transparent and told us that the parts they’d quoted to replace would have done nothing to fix the problem.

We are sorry to hear, that the service offered by our engineer fell below your expectations. Our engineer made their diagnosis in good faith and recommended replacement parts for which we provided a quotation.
The conversation we had with your partner the next day, was to advise that we could fit the parts in 2-3 days and a new boiler in 4-6 weeks. The quotation to repair the boiler was not accepted and we were not made aware of your dissatisfaction until reading your review on-line. Powerflushing is not usually recommended to clear a blocked plate heat exchanger in a combination boiler.

It is always our intention to give the best possible advice and service to our customers and apologise if you feel this did not happened in this case.

Chris arrived on time and worked very professionally and efficiently, clearing up carefully afterwards. He was very pleasant to have around and overall it was a very positive experience.

awful experience ever!

My experience with this boiler company was a complete disaster. They came to replace a perfectly working thermostat, (the reason I need to get it replace is because the previous owner has programmed the radiator to be turned on everyday from 9am to 6pm and there is no way to reset it, also we decided to replace it with a Nest one), but only to end up ruining my “boiler” due to the altered wiring. There is a faulty message appears in the boiler after the installer replaced the thermostat. After spoken to the boiler manufacture company they were telling us that there is high chance that the boiler doesn’t like the altered wiring so it leads to the faulty code- alternator overload.
We have two elderly and two young children at home and it was October it was getting cold and we have no choice but to replace the boiler itself!
They were initially quoted a two hours hourly rate for labour costs but ended up more than a double. At last we requested to only pay the two hours labour cost! (for a ruined boiler)
We found another accredited boiler company to replace the boiler assuming everything will be fine. But No, after they have replace the boiler, we were told that the newly installed Nest thermostat is not connecting the cylinder so it cannot boil hot water. They said the altered wiring is the reason! I have of course once again talked to this company manager but his initial response is our installer is competence and he believes there is no mistakes he has done. I then showed him picture before and after the thermostat being installed and it shows the wiring in the cylinder being altered. He then asked me what do I want and he can offer a senior installer to come and have a look but not until January.
We have no choice but again, pay extra to the boiler company who install our boiler and they are so kind to prioritise to come and fix the missing wiring in the very cold month.

To make matters worse, my attempts to reach out through email have been completely ignored at the end. A negligent and irresponsible company that I would strongly advise against.
From the first email when the thermostat is just being installed but causing the boiler to be faulty, no assistance from this company, only to get a reply saying he believes there is nothing wrong with the wiring by his installer.
I cannot believe the customer service by this company!

We try hard to meet and exceed customers expectations and therefore, we are sorry to hear we have not met yours on this occasion. You can see from other reviews that this is not the norm.

We have reviewed the events and all correspondence, for an outcome and to find ways to avoid this from happening again.
From the correspondence we can see we did reply to your emails and had offered you return visits with our senior engineer to discuss/resolve the issue.
On our initial survey visit and on the visit to fit your thermostat, the boiler was found turned off at the isolation switch. Unfortunately our engineer did not test the boiler operation before carrying out the thermostat installation and we therefore are unable to clarify if the boiler was or wasn’t working before our work commenced. Although, we are confident that our engineer had correctly wired in the new Nest thermostat and the fault on the boiler was not caused by our engineer.
The issue with the hot water cylinder wasn’t communicated by our engineer effectively, a 240v thermostat was required to work with the Nest thermostat, to replace the boiler’s low voltage sensor that worked in conjunction with the boiler controls.

Overall we could have carried things out in a better way and as a good will gesture we will refund the amount you paid us to install the thermostat.

Excellent and very professional company

From start to finish I was very impressed by this company. All the staff I had contact with were very polite, helpful and efficient. (If only all companies were like this!) The installation manager came out to survey my property and system. He explained exactly what was needed, the quotes were straightforward and arrived by email the next day. The installation of the new central heating and hot water boiler plus various controls and a power wash all ran to time. The central heating engineer spent some time after he had installed the new system explaining how everything worked.The entire process was seamless and very impressive.

Very good service

This was our first time with Premier who had been recommended by a friend. Their service was prompt, Andy the engineer was knowledgeable and professional, as well as the boiler service also sorted a central heating problem whilst on site.

Is it time to replace that old leaky limescaled kitchen tap?

The old kitchen tap was limescaled and leaky and although I could have put a new valve in as temporary fix, I decided to upgrade the tone of the kitchen as a start of my future refurb with a beautiful matt black Franke Athena tap with ceramic disc technology (hopefully less leaks in the future!). The plumber was skilled in isolating and removing the old tap and plumbing in the new tap so the flexible supply hoses twisted nicely into the space in the kitchen cabinet below. The whole process took about half and hour and was clean without any fuss and mess. Thanks!
