Good service from the person i spoke with however i was told the machines would be dispatched within 5 working days of signing the contract. It was approximately 2 weeks before i chased them up and was then told there was no delivery slot available. This was quickly resolved, but this was a bit of an issue.

Do not use ignorant rude arrogant scum …
Do not use ignorant rude arrogant scum only got one star but don't deserve it
AVOID!!!
Case as many here. You dont even know their name until you want to finish your contract. Apparently Merchant Rentals and Handepay are different companies. (with exactly same address)
"I can confirm that the lease agreement which you have with Merchant Rentals was negotiated between yourself and staff of the sales organisation, Handepay. The equipment was then to be used in conjunction with a merchant services agreement, in this case Worldpay. You, therefore, have three parties involved; we deal only with your lease for the Spire credit/debit card terminal which is on rental with us."
You basically need to cancel your single contract at 3 different places. Handepay, Worldpay and Merchant Rentals.
Whats worst, they require 90 DAYS notice and auto extend your contract every single year without single notice.
AVOID!!!!
Avoid
Merchant Rentals Limited (MRL) sued our company for the remaining three years of a 5 year contract, despite the terminals becoming entirely useless to us through no fault of our own.
Sadly, we lost but no surprise there. I was unrepresented, MRL engaged a £1000 per day, 1986 call barrister (i.e. 34 years experience) and a solicitor with 43 years experience- yes, in the small claims court!! The Judgement did, however, refer to the "impression of SHARP business practices employed by MRL"; holding us to the "contract in circumstances that were unusual and beyond the Defendant’s control was MERCENARY but [MRL] were entitled to do so by law”; and the fact that MRL distance itself when there is a problem, saying "NOT OUR PROBLEM, READ THE CONTRACT."
MRL also tried to sue us for their legal costs of £13,333. Fortunately, they were not successful and we did not have to pay.
We did not even know who MRL were until we were sued by them after the termination of the contracts All of our contact was with Handepay. MRL describes itself simply as a "finance house.” They/ their solicitors claim that Handepay and MRL are entirely separate entities (despite having the same address, same accountants, same solicitors, same founders etc). They refer to Handepay as the so called "introducer". Legally, you cannot rely upon any representations made by Handepay re the contract. I discovered this to my great expense.
MRL / its solicitors inflated its claim by £2,844. The overcharges included VAT on future losses (they are not subject to VAT), additional incorrect rental periods, letters which had not been sent and "indemnities” which had not been provided. The Judge commented that:"I was however also concerned to see sums being pursued by [MRL] that were plainly unrecoverable with no concession made as to this until the trial. It gives the impression of a PARTY SEEING WHAT THEY CAN GET AWAY WITH rather than pursuing a genuine loss" (my emphasis). We tried to settle with MRL’s solicitors since we have a business to run and to avoid the hassle of all of this but this proved impossible due to the unreasonable settlement terms they demanded e.g. removing all comments on social media, us waiving all claims against its “business partner” Handepay!!
So well done MRL! We were very good customers of yours (although presented as Handepay) for 6.5 years and you proceeded to then make our life hell for almost two years. The only real winners in all of this, however, were your lawyers!
PS Wait for the torrent of five star reviews!
Avoid !
Avoid !! Will automatically renew your contract even when you have canceled, they say that merchant rentals and handy pay are different companies!! And you have to cancel them both! Didn’t tell me that at the time, they both have the same address !! very unhelpful especially in the current situation with Covid !! You’ve been warned !!
