I ordered Halloween fancy dress, paid for next day delivery, came 3 days later, so too late for the party!!, couldn’t get through on the phone emailed 2 different e mail addresses... still nothing, then gave up and did it the old fashioned way & sent it back with a letter inside explaining..... just recieved the parcel back with a letter inside saying this company has gone into administration..... great over £60 down... yet you can still buy stuff off there website 😡

Bought a fancy dress costume which didn't fit. Returned it back for a refund but did not receive my money. Have to get in touch with the bank now. Do not buy from this company.

I see little chance of getting my money back now.
Really bad experience
I returned a costume that did not suit me after getting the authorisation of their customer service more than 2 weeks ago. I saw on Royal Mail website that the parcel was delivered on 31st October. I have not received any refund since then. I tried to make contact with them but no one was answering neither from their customer service nor from the shop in Camden Town. I am really upset as I spent more than £50 for nothing. I hope that PayPal will give me a compensation for that.

Do not use this company!!! They sent me two items when I ordered just the one. I emailed them asking what to do regarding my second item. They ignored my email. I sent it to the return address on the package to find that the parcel has been ‘returned to sender’! Absolute scammers! Don’t use this company!

Absolutely disgusting company. I ordered a Halloween costume and after I had paid I checked my bank account and saw they had charged me triple the price. It said I had ordered 3 ( just short of £100) and I’m almost certain I didn’t. I then spent just short of 3 hours on hold to cancel the order of 3, before the phone went dead. I emailed about returning the items in which they said it was possible. I have returned them and not received any email and no refund. I have tried to contact them but have been ignored. Scammers.
I ordered a small batman Halloween…
I ordered a small batman Halloween costume 2 weeks before Halloween 2019 and received a XL robin costume, with this costume being clearly wrong i sent it back with Royal Mail 1st class. There was no message to confirm they have received my package and no talk of a refund or exchange. I then emailed 3 times and spent 3 HOURS on hold trying to contact the office, the phone then went dead as if they had hung up on me. over 1 week has passed and still no emails. VERY disappointed.

What a disgusting company! I managed to get through louis the administrator who said please send me details by email I’ll process the refund now. No response back and no refund! Cheaters and it’s an item which was faulty and I’ve returned it and they have received it. I’ve looked through the complaints best I go through PayPal like the others. Scammers 🙄

Returned a costume well before they went into administration and didn’t get a refund so they must have known what was coming so just didn’t bother. Thankfully, as my order was more than £100, I have managed to claim the money back via my bank under section 75 of the consumer credit act. Suggest others do the same
Shocking - Don't go near them
Shocking, dont go near these guys, got contacts for Halloween, tried them on an hour before party as they are one time use and one of them split and the other wouldnt stay in place and irritated my eye so much i had to remove it within 5 minutes.
Never had issues with contacts before, no return to my email so have raised a case with Paypal. if you go through these guys make sure you go through paypal so you can get a refund. bunch of thieves...

Gone into administration on 5 November, i have been in touch with Joanna Titarczuk from insolveplus and Kevin Counihan from sia-group as i have been awaiting a refund since 11 October and they wrote
'Thank you for getting in contact with us.
The company has ceased to trade and has been placed in Administration. The Escapades is not in position to accept any returns or to process refunds. If you paid by credit card or PayPal you could seek a refund via your credit card provider or PayPal. Otherwise, you can loge a claim in the Administration as unsecured creditor.'
For a company that has been going for 30 years and i have used numerous times it is upsetting to see that although being a loyal customer I have lost out by doing so. £50 down and looks like i will never get this back now. Disappointed that it took them so long to advise and i didn't find out three weeks ago.

Okay if you do not need to return goods and get a refund. If the costume fits, then great, if it doesn't you may as well say goodbye to your money.
The phone number for returns just says the office is closed. No returns policy or any contact is impossible. This should not be allowed for a company like this, trading standards will be informed.

Escapade doesn't deliver and do not want to refund either!
I ordered an outfit on 15 Oct. Received my order confirmation on the same date and a Royal Mail Tracking reference. The reference said the Seller is 'Despatching the Item'.
When I had not received the item by 21 Oct (and with Halloween only a few days away), I contacted Escapade to cancel the order and send me a refund. They responded on the same day to say that they couldn't cancel the order because it had already been sent from their warehouse but they would refund my postage, which they did.
As at today's date, 6 Nov, I have still not received the package and the Royal Mail Tracking still says that the Seller is 'Despatching the Item'.
I again asked them for a refund but have not heard back from them so am now filing a complaint with PayPal.
No customer service
I have been trying to return my item since last week on several occasions I have been on hold for over an hour and I’ve sent 2 emails and contacted on social media. I haven’t had a response at all !
There isn’t any customer service or support for customers ! I’ve paid for an item i haven’t and can’t use with no help or contact about the return.

Ordered a 70s ladies jumpsuit on 21st Oct - it arrived on time (24th Oct) but was poorly packed and I didn't like the material is was made from.
I had to go on the website to find out how to return the garment, and returned using Royal Mail recorded delivery the next day. Despite it having been received by them on 28th Oct I have had no confirmation or refund. Trying to contact by phone has proved impossible (message says they are closed constantly) and no response to my email.
is this company still trading??! I could still order online if I wanted to, but with such poor customer service I won't use again. I don't even know if I will get my refund!!
Disgraceful
Disgraceful. In order to process a refund you have to call the company and NO ONE will answer your call. I have currently been on hold for over 3 and a half hours. Customer service is clearly not a priority for this company and their complete lack of user friendly website shows that they are happy to take your money and after that, they simply do not care. I would avoid using them at all costs.
