Go elsewhere

Very slow at replying to emails - was great at start with Josh D but then we were told he hadn’t uploaded any documents or any of our information and hadn’t sent us a mortgage illustration or MIP, long drawn out processes and wanted to charge a fee (that they didn’t tell us about initially) to then have to wait a week to go through application but had time to call 4 times in between to have a ‘chat’. Plenty of brokers out there that are much quicker, avoid and go elsewhere!

Waste of money and time

We ended up being 40 minutes late to be seen and only got one good picture (all the rest were terrible) however the staff were very apologetic about being late and it was a Saturday morning so I guess we should have expected it to be a busy time however it would have been nice to be made aware of how long the wait times are on weekends as we were meant to be seen at half 9 and didn’t get seen until 10.20 which is a long time to have a full bladder and we were then rushing to our appointment at 11am so didn’t have time to request another set of pictures or check the keyring and things we bought (which were poor quality. We got the celebration package which seemed good value however wouldn’t recommend a key ring as half the picture is cut off 😞 also it didn’t seem worthwhile paying for the more expensive package that included a gender reveal item as you don’t actually save money as the cannon is £20 and you pay £90 for the same offer as the £60 pound gender scan so you lose out on £10. We thought we would be able to choose what we got such as a bear or a larger item so quite disappointed. Easy to get to though via public transport - not in middle of Farsley but not too far from it. I guess the staff were friendly enough and lots of options for gender reveal.

Very friendly staff and lots of options for gender reveal. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY

Been waiting nearly 3 months for a refund. Marium ‘Shift manager’ won’t reply to any emails on the last email from her on 24 July and stated on that email that she would personally keep me updated. So why has it been another month and your advisors are stating there’s been no movement on it for ten days?

Not really great customer service. I sent back my stuff on 17 June and it’s is now 25 august. I sent you proof of postage on 29 June and have made over 20+ calls to yourselves over the past months to get this sorted.

Why haven’t you sorted it yet. I will be taking this to whoever I can I have been kind and given you enough time to sort this out now and you have failed.

I would recommend everyone to either stay away or kiss your money goodbye.

Way too frustration caused from this company.

I decided to trial after hearing good…

I decided to trial after hearing good things from a friend. Did not get an email advising about half way through the trial and if i wanted to keep it. I then contacted them due to the machine tasting like burning and kept getting stuck. Although saying no the replacement they sent out. Luckily they sent a return label so i boxed it all up the original and the replacement and sent back on 18th. Sent proof of postage after waiting 14 days for refund as they said they hadnt received. Its now been a month and still no refund they are saying that they recieved replacement and not the rest (supposedly scanned incorrectly at warehouse)
The problem is now, the money that i was told wouldnt be taken was taken and now i have an unpaid dd as that money was being held for another bill as i was told it would not be taken.
Now contacted them numerous times and each time i am promised a refund or a call back once they investigate. Not very promising and ive had to go into my savings to cover the other bill.

Honestly would warn everyone off. Fresh air tastes better than the Heets.

UPDATE:

Alex: you have not called me or sent me an email. The only email I have received from you was a month ago and I have called you 15 times since then. At least tell the truth if you are going to reply to this.

Not worth the time or money.

After hearing such good things I ordered 2 items for a work do. Not cheap... I expected it to arrive in a box protected. However it was in a bag worse than what is sent by cheap companies! I took it out and not only was the coat severely creased, the stitching was already coming out on the coat buttons and pocket! For a £200 coat, I would expect pristine standard and it packaged in a box to stop this. After many emails and calls, they agreed to a refund for the faulty item which was going to cost me £15 to send! I would expect better when the only reason for sending it back is their low quality standards! I haven’t even tried on the dress after being so disappointed with it. They have now agreed to take it back and pay for packaging after numerous excuses of ‘sometimes it can get creased in delivery or storage’ ‘try taking it to a dry cleaners’ ‘unfortunately we are looking into this but can’t do anything else’ poor customer service and excuses. I’ve bought many coats in the past from cheap to double the price and never have I had one delivered in such a poor state. I would recommend anyone to be cautious about this place. You can find much better items from other places like British Retro and for half the price! Now to wait 14+ days for them to refund everything and decide what they want to do.... very disappointing.

Gone into administration on 5 November

Gone into administration on 5 November, i have been in touch with Joanna Titarczuk from insolveplus and Kevin Counihan from sia-group as i have been awaiting a refund since 11 October and they wrote
'Thank you for getting in contact with us.
The company has ceased to trade and has been placed in Administration. The Escapades is not in position to accept any returns or to process refunds. If you paid by credit card or PayPal you could seek a refund via your credit card provider or PayPal. Otherwise, you can loge a claim in the Administration as unsecured creditor.'

For a company that has been going for 30 years and i have used numerous times it is upsetting to see that although being a loyal customer I have lost out by doing so. £50 down and looks like i will never get this back now. Disappointed that it took them so long to advise and i didn't find out three weeks ago.
