I am writing this positive review after my experience with this longstanding family run business Direct Cosmetics who responded to an order issue immediately in a really thorough way and to be honest having read some Trust Pilot reviews that say customer service is poor with Direct Cosmetics; I would recommend the customer service after my call this morning understanding as an independent business of many years service, reviews are important but reputation is paramount. They source all products direct from brand suppliers. Delivery is prompt and they offer the most competitive pricing I could find on many products which is what they aim for.
With Christmas coming up I would recommend Direct Cosmetics.
I would like to thank Patrick and team for the reassuring handling of my order and this review is to acknowledge and reflect that, I hope this allows others to shop with Direct Cosmetics with confidence.
Worst customer service ever
Worst customer service ever. I ordered a rose handwash on two occasions and both times the item was sent with the cap loose and seeping out. A reputable merchant would have resolved the matter promptly by issuing a refund or exchange immediately. Instead I was messed around for weeks . After the first incident they demanded photographic evidence multiple times and after several weeks of back and forth email exchanges of them demanding I justify my existence, these people finally agreed to pay £1 refund. I asked for it to be increased to £2 which they quibbles over after more time wasting email exchanges. The 2nd time they again demanded photographic evidence and after the first debacle I said I would be returning the leaky product back to them. I did this at my own expense and these incompetent people failed to exercise good customer service by sending me a return label. This corrupt merchant has also failed to refund me for the item which I returned special delivery, signed for, next day service and they are showing their spiteful hostility by stalling or refusing to refund the leaked item. Avoid these scammers at all costs. I will never ever shop there again

I ordered and received some Elizabeth Arden night face cream.
I had previously bought this from an airport duty free shop and really liked the product.
As I was unable to find it in usual retail shops, looked online.
Was happy to find it on this website that claimed to be genuine and a company of many years operating.
The product I received is nothing like the cream I had used previously.
Colour, texture different. There was no foil seal under the lid. It has a strange smell as if it is old.
They have used an Elizabeth Arden pot to put some cream in, I don't know what I would be using.
Waste of money.
First and last time I will use this company.
Wish I had read further into these reviews.

I have had two recent parcels from Direct Cosmetics.com and can honestly say i am so impressed. Firstly the prices are so good and there is plenty of choice. All of the items ordered were perfect. If you get a dented box then that is what you ordered and is the reason why it is cheaper. I cannot fault this company and will be ordering from them again soon. The delivery time is very good. Don't deliver and dont respond to emails
Parcel stated delivered to a fictional "Mail Room" when it was not, They replied once to emails and now ignore and do not respond.

Perfect orders & Brilliant after sales care
I'm delighted recently with Direct Cosmetics, after placing some very large orders (stocking up on gifts at brilliant prices) I would like to give a shout out to the packing team and after sales team, all items were received in perfect condition, apart from one little candle that had no wick and had seen better times.
Direct Cosmetics customer care was really understanding and issued a full refund for the one item that wasn't quite right. There was no delay, no excuses, if anything this company is happy to help and support their customers.
I'm really super pleased with them and the prices are super too and 100% genuine (I buy a lot of branded and designer, these are 100% genuine)

I have been a customer for many years. And bought many items over the years. I had received a perfume with a faulty spray. Which they sent return label. The spray wasn’t working at all.i fiddled a bit then it just squirted out and dripping.It was not spraying as it should. They sent return label. Which I returned next day. Then I had a very rude email more or less calling me a liar.It is spraying first time their reply. So I went to PayPal to explain my situation with them. It was just under £40. I couldn’t afford to just leave it. The reply was the same to PayPal. It’s working. I couldn’t believe it still in denial. So I replied if it’s working like you said as it’s a tester. I said you can sell it on. So what’s your problem. This is the second one I have had from them with a problem. My Grandson couldn’t get it to spray and then the top just broke off. I kept it and had to put in another spray bottle.i have just read another bad review for Direct Cosmetics. Same as me good customer. They said we’re not giving you the postal amount back so unreasonable. Thank God I always use PayPal which decided with me and had a full refund and postage. I told them I will never use them again and that they have lost a good customer. I am honest and trustworthy. Read this before you buy from DIRECT COSMETICS!!
Buyer Beware!
I received an Elemis face mask that I felt had been opened. I emailed Direct Cosmetics and felt the reply was quite dismissive. I then contacted Elemis direct (as Direct Cosmetics said they bought directly from them). Elemis confirmed the product should have had a cellophane wrap, which mine didn’t. I also asked advice on the ‘batch’ date on the box. Elemis stated the product was over 3 years old and should not be used! Direct Cosmetics again were dismissive when I emailed them about this (I included the email from Elemis). So, beware and if you do buy from them, I strongly suggest you check the ‘batch’ date!

Paid less than £20 for an Elemis face wash which included delivery charge, £40 normal price for the face wash and even £33 at best on Amazon…..quick delivery and I’m super happy with my experience with this company so I would recommend.

Was a bit tedious about buying from this shop after looking at the reviews... but I took the risk. Quick delivery, great product and is cheap compared to other places. I would recommend, looking at the other reviews make sure you read the description of your product so you know what to expect.

Missing an item on my order
Missing an item on my order, usually this company has been OK but I feel a little let down now. I only realised when I checked my order history and found that they hadn’t sent an item ☹️ Will give them another chance as I have used them since they first started. Please make sure you include all the items next time.
Dreadful Company - Return was not refunded
A dreadful experience with Direct Cosmetics. I bought three boxed lipsticks. One of the colours was far darker than it appeared on screen. The box was opened but the lipstick was unused - clearly not the colour expected. The company insisted that it had been used and sent a picture claiming to show lips marks. There were two very faint, straight, parallel lines on the lipstick which were likely to be where it had been opened at their end and may have touched against the casing. They refused to refund and destroyed the item. I find it doubtful that anyone receives a refund on return!
Fake CK1
Purchased a bottle of Calvin Klein CK1 back in July with it supposed to arrive within a few days but never did. Tracking showed it was at Royal Mail delivery depo which showed as being so for two weeks with no further information. A few emails back and forth with Direct Cosmetics they agreed to send me a replacement bottle at no extra cost to myself which I received almost 4 weeks after original order. However when it arrived the fragrance was nowhere near as fragrant to how I remembered it. It smelt like very cheap lightly scented water. I couldn’t really be bothered with the hassle of sending more emails to and fro so just left it. I have just discovered that it is definitely a fake product from the box to the actual fragrance it’s self. I will not be purchasing again from this company, many more legitimate sites out there.
Never received my order
Never received my order. No tracking number, so obviously didn't even bother to pretend sending the parcel. No reply from 'customer service', which I suspect does not exist. Money well wasted. Should have put my money into a charity box instead, would avoid stress.
